Chelsea are close to agreeing a £55m deal with Leeds United to buy 25-year-old Brazil forward Raphinha, who is also attracting interest from Arsenal and Barcelona. (Guardian)

AND

Chelsea have turned their attention to 27-year-old Inter Milan and Slovakia defender Milan Skriniar, who is also a target for Paris St-Germain, after deeming the £102m release clause of Juventus and Netherlands centre-back Matthijs de Ligt, 22, as too expensive. (Mail)

These two won't upset me😀

I mean Raphinha and Skriniar of course😜

Choice for Skriniar.

Play under Tuchel? Or play under Mbappe?

Sergej Savic and his agent are traveling to London today to meet with Chelsea. This tweet thread has some good information about him.

Honestly i don't see the point signing SMS, unless we are going to sell Gallagher.

We’d get 10+ years of quality with de Ligt.

How much for Koulibaly? 3 if we are lucky?

Word is De Ligt is available for 40-50m euros next summer.

Not done yet. There's a reason journos haven't called Raphinha transfer despite agreeing fee with Leeds - He is wary of playing wingback at Chelsea. Things should be clearer today.

Yep. I remember few years ago when we agreed a deal to sign Chamberlain but he rejected us and went Liverpool and he did not want to play wing back.

No chance, just look Skriniar he has 1 year left but Inter still demanding €60m - €70m for him.

True. Still half of his current release clause and Juve should be thinking this is the only chance to cash in on him.

Think it’s abundantly clear now that Tuchel’s vision this summer was to target attacking players who are already performing at a high level in the PL. He has witnessed firsthand how Chelsea are repeatedly burned by wide attackers coming in from other leagues and struggling to adapt.

Similar to Liverpool picking up Mane and Jota after they had proven themselves in the league.

You would think that Raphinha and Sterling will be bought in to play forward positions but it is Tuchel who manages us and the guy did play Odoi as a wingback.

I didn't see any wrong with trying out new things. He admitted later it is not the best role for Callum and later he only made him play there when he was forced to due to injuries.
