why would you need an owner

you can have an agreement between a player/players agent and the buyer clubs representative with some sort of ultimatum. lets say if a club doesnt have an owner and everything sorted out until june 15th then deal is off. just an example...

its not like our whole club changed and we are starting from 0. if thats the case is a bit amateurish. but even then you have scouts who should already have a list of players who we should buy...

I'm pretty certain there has been discussions and likely base agreements in place with players but it's a different situation negotiating with clubs.

How can you have an agreement when there is no 1 there to allow that agreement to happen, how can you expect us to go out and offer players another man's money who hasn't even bought the club yet are u mental?

I don't want Gabriel.

For Lukaku going we will see who we can get to replace him, but not Gabriel at that price.

Who then? I’d rather just go the City/Liverpool route of the last few years and play with a load of midfielders than take a chance on some random striker.

If we can't find one then just do that for now.

Because that was the mistake in buying lukaku when the other options was not available.

Just buy winger and midfielders for now. As well CB.

Milan Skriniar
Alessandro Bastoni   (many would bold him, I am off his train, Uwill come back on if he improves over the next season, as he has regressed a lot atm)
Stefan de Vrij  (if he was on a free (he is not), I would snap him up, as he has 3 good years left and would make a good stopgap filler)
Federico Dimarco
Marcelo Brozovic
Nicolò Barella
Denzel Dumfries
Robin Gosens
Lautaro Martínez

It’s really hard for me to think this is all about us being unable to offload players. We have already done so! Two staring CB’s have gone.

£70-80m or so worth of players and we got NOTHING!!!!!!!

but, sure, Marina is a genius

City have a higher FFP ceiling and more money in any case. They also have a manager who, probably more than any other, top players are eager to play for. On top of all that they have a reputation for a playing a style that potential recruits find appealing which is certainly not the case with us. Footballers simply find City a more attractive destination so, along with the money, it is far easier for them to land their targets. They aren't working any harder than we are. Quite the opposite probably.

the only things we have over Citeh atm are that we have won multiple CL's (they have none) and a world club championship, we have a better academy, and we are in London (as opposed to the shithole Manchester)

Rüdiger alone would’ve cost that much if we were buying him now. AC would probably cost 40-50m. And we lost them for zilch at the same time.

The former would have probably stayed had the club actually valued him when negotiations began. Seems like wages are all over the place, which has to be problematic (Werner on £225k~).

Rudiger turns 30 this coming winter, no way would a cub pay 70m to 80m quid for him

highest ever fees paid for CB's (look at the ages as well)

Doubt it.

Per Matt Law Rudiger was offered 230kpw as the final offer in December and he turned it down. Think he and his agent knew well in advance the kind of money Real would pay.

"Final offer". What was the club's opening offer?
