A lot of people would have looked at Silva in the same way given his age.

He's always been a naturally fit, hard working player so would imagine fitness wouldn't be an issue even at this stage of his career.

As I mentioned I haven't really seen enough of him the last year or two to know if he's still a good player but from what other's are saying on here and twitter, he seems to have been playing at an extremely high level still and reinvented himself in a wing back role.

True. He does indeed still appear to be lightning quick and super athletic despite being nearly 34. Doesn’t look to have lost a step.

If the idea is to gradually ease Chilly back into the team at the start of next season then Perisić makes sense. He’s certainly a colossal upgrade over Alonso or playing Pulisic/CHO there.

He's also comfortable with both feet so would provide an option on both flanks potentially.

he is basically Bakayoko, but in the Eredivisie

undisciplined (2 reds in 4 Europa League games)

poor passer, and I can see him not being able to cope with the pressure play of the EPL

plus, he is another African Sr international who will miss big chunks of play for us when he goes to play for Cote d'Ivoire
