please, I beg of all, NO NO NO Kounde, TOO SHORT, we will get crushed in the air

Tapsoba, after many on here said they do not rate him like I did, I am off the boil (as I went back and watched a lot of games, ans they were right)

would much rather get Lacroix

Tapsoba is very lanky and not in a Rudiger type of way lanky-strong for his body type, he gets bullied a lot (and thsi open pinball Bundesliga)

Rice will cost £85m to 90m

I so doubt Donnarumma will want to come fight Mendy for number 1, he is going to PSG I think, not Juve (thank fuck)

good spot on Kaio Jorge, I rate him for a youth Brasilian, a lot, Arse is all over him, £20m maybe be too low

Aurélien Tchouaméni will unfortunately cost us a bit more than £5m I fear, say 40-45 ut I do rate hi, 40m I can live with

Sancho at £80m is fair price, £70m even better

Donnarumma would be a board signing if at all it happens. We are already set with Mendy I feel.

Lacroix is a fair shout for CB.

Camavinga is in the last year of his contract so maybe we can get him for even lower.

CHO + Ziyech + Cash for Sancho could be worth a shot

Regardless of who we manage to sell, if we can get in Lacroix, Camavinga, Tchouameni, Sancho and Kaio Jorge. This could become a monumental summer just like the last one. Haaland next year to top it all and complete the team.

Lukaku off the market - Haaland off the market - Kane, Lewandowski unlikely. Fucks us over in our striker search really with no elite options.

Jovic could be a cheap option... ??

Luka Jović is dross

we should go HARD for my number one choice for all footballers on the planet all along

since I joined the board, and before that

MBAPPE

he can play anywhere up front, he insane as a CF on counters he is (many people forget) a pressing demon too, and is far from shit in the air, despite not being 6-3

he is only on £298K PW atm

so it certainly will not take an insane Messi £2.1 Million Per Week salary package to pay him

PSG is only offering him £25.7m per year to renew

that is only around half of what CR7 makes at 36yo

and less than a quarter of what Messi makes

I have been saying we should go after Sancho instead since none of the world class striker are available.

But how much does Tuchel see chance creation as a problem? No doubt he wants another striker as an assurance to bang in the goals and another different option to Havertz and Werner.

If none of the big name strikers are really available, then I wonder whether (and I've been asking/saying this) Tuchel and/or the club will go for someone a bit low key but still reliable in front of goal like Danny Ings (not suggesting him specifically but using him as an example) for the short term and then reevaluate our options next summer (e.g. Haaland is available then). Alternatively, Tuchel could be forced into a rethink with Abraham and maybe make that relationship work, although I doubt Abraham will sign a contract extension any time soon, which would put the club in a dodgy spot given he has only two years left.

The problem is Ings probably won't accept being the 3rd choice striker behind Werner and Havertz.

I was merely using someone like Ings as an example. And I'd imagine there would be rotation going on anyway because even if we get someone like Lukaku, I can't imagine Tuchel would then just keep Havertz, Werner, Pulisic or Ziyech on the bench more often than not.

Shit.. we just won Champions League few days ago and now topic is Danny Inga to Chelsea..

Hahaha 😂 Jokes apart, why we are not going for Sancho and Donnarumma. Donarumma will be a great investment as he will be a free agent. We can sell him for  a hefty amount later if required.

Well his agent wants €20m and he wants €250k a week so he isn't as cheap as he first appears.

As for Sancho, we have bigger needs than a AM atm.

Some of the striker options being suggested, we might as well just keep Tammy instead.

Somebody (Matt Law?) wrote a piece saying that Tuchel wants to prioritise quality over quantity, and that may need to be evident here.

If the club and Tuchel view the striker market as not being good enough, then it may be decided to bring Tammy in from the cold to replace Giroud in the squad as the rotational striker option. He has a number of flaws but the one thing he does have is a knack for being in the right place, on the end of chances and you know what you'll get with him - he'll chip in with a few goals throughout the season.

That then may allow the club to go bigger for a couple of the other areas of the team they want strengthening, and then the budget next summer can be planned around a big striker if required (maybe it won't be if Werner and Havertz hit form).

I would always prefer one or two top quality additions to the side, even if they don't address all the side's issues as opposed to 4 or 5 additions that are supposed to address all areas but simply aren't high enough quality.

Sancho will be a key assist in our formation as he operates from wing and moves into the box. Pulisic does the same but it's not that often.

Romelu Lukaku confirms transfer plans amid rumours of Chelsea return

Romelu Lukaku's future at Inter Milan was thrown in doubt when manager Antonio Conte left the San Siro club last week with Simoni Inzaghi named as his successor from Lazio

Romelu Lukaku has confirmed he will stay at Inter Milan next season as he puts rumours of a Chelsea return to bed.

The striker's future at the San Siro was thrown in doubt when Antonio Conte left the club last week with Simoni Inzaghi named as his successor from Lazio.

The Belgian notched a 30-goal season as Inter claimed the Serie A title under the Italian manager.

Chelsea were reportedly one of Lukaku's suitors as Thomas Tuchel's men look for a proven goalscorer in the upcoming window for their Premier League title bid next season.

But the 28-year-old has ruled out the possibility of going back to Stamford Bridge for a second spell as he insists he will stay with Inter.

Matt Law suggested 4 players:

1. Lewandowski - Pointed out that Lewandowski remains "open minded" over his future but said it's more likely at this stage he remains at Bayern

2. Aubameyang - Tuchel still close to the player and there are already murmurings that Arsenal would listen to offers for him but he's currently earning £350k wages per week

3. Ings - Is English and will help with the HG quota, has proven PL pedigree but his injury record may put off the club

4. Sancho - Offers Tuchel different type of goal threat but Tuchel already has Werner, Havertz, Mount, Pulisic, Ziyech and CHO competing for places on the flanks

Edouard Mendy in the Champions League played one of the best seasons a goalkeeper has ever had in the history of the competition by only conceding three goals throughout the season (Kepa played in the 1-1 against Krasnodar) and having a save percentage of more than 90%. And in the Premier League he was top class too, only behind Ederson in clean sheets and that's despite him missing a bunch of games early in the season before joining the team and Kepa playing a few games before/after cup games as a 'reward'. Why  would the club disrupt Mendy's flow by going for Donnarumma, it makes zero sense whether it was to displace Mendy as number one or having a young top keeper like Donnarumma as an expensive backup goalie who would no doubt soon be unhappy about the lack of playing time? And why would Donnarumma even want to join if his place as number one keeper isn't 100% guaranteed?

I rate Danny Ings as a decent striker for a small team. But the champions of Europe turning to Danny Ings to solve our striker problem would be pretty embarrassing. He’s not going to worry any of our domestic or CL rivals, is he?

Aubameyang makes little sense to me either. He plays best in the same exact areas that Werner plays and has a pretty much identical skill set. Never mind the fact that, like Harry Kane, he’s a hated rivals’ best player so it would never happen.

Lewandowski would be amazing on a 2 year deal but Bayern couldn’t replace him this summer. He’ll probably move next summer when Bayern make a play for Haaland.

I’m beginning to warm to the idea of Sancho. Rotate Havertz and Werner up top and hope they really step up. Very risky but it could work. A fluid front 4 would really confuse and unsettle opponents.
