What is point of Haaland, when our recent signing like Pulisic, Havertz, and Werner all underperformed after coming from that league. Only player I would be interested from that league is Lewandoski.

Would not say Pulisic is underperforming. 13 PL goals and 6 assists in minutes equal to exactly one full season is very good. So, one goal contribution every 2 games. In fact, he scored same number of goals in PL and Bundesliga already.

And only thing not good about German boys is finishing. But that will come.

I am sorry but what? I mean is this based on  3 seasons ago still re his first touch? And even then, did he really fail at United?

I mean his first season he scored 27 goals and then his second season 15. If he failed scoring 42 goals in 2 seasons god help us. And even then you would think United were an amazing team when he was there also... Ah wait they weren’t, they were a team devoid of any real creativity for the whole time he was there under Mourinho.

Aye he had a bad spell for a bit with United, was overweight for a period but Inter also diagnosed him with a serious bowel problem which they put him on a diet for to rectify and thats definitely controversially led to him being a lot sharper with Conte. Who knows how long he had that for because at United he looked slower, less dynamic, a lot more stockier for a period of time yet still got 15 goals that season despite going on a poor goal scoring run.

Go and watch him for Inter, he has clearly improved his first touch, his back to goal play etc. He’s never going to be Lewandowski maybe or prime Suarez but to say he hasn’t improved that aspect is just painfully ignorant from someone who I am guessing probably hasn’t even watched any Serie A games he’s been played in.

I still don’t think he will want to leave Italy though. Why would he? Hes proven himself in the PL, yes he hasnt won a PL title but from a personal point of view he scored 113 goals and made 35 assists in 251 games. Ironically more goals than his hero Drogba.

Plus people complaining about the quality of Serie A, aye its not what it was but its not as bad as you would seriously think. I like the PL but lets no be as oblivious and make out it is the hardest league in the world when in fact it has as many shit teams as every other league and the only thing that makes the PL different from these teams is probably the finances available. It is as hard as many other teams in other top leagues because there is still clearly a gap between top and bottom tier teams.

For instance mentioning Ibrahimovich being up near the top of goals despite the fact he joined Man United aged what 35/36 4 years ago and scored 17 PL goals in 28 games....

Then what about Mo Salah signed from Roma and scored 44 goals in his first season for Liverpool no? PL top scorer that season also? No?

If Ronaldo were to rejoin United he would also piss the PL for goals.

Is it the same for Ligue 1? Wait Cavani got 10 goals this season also in extremely limited minutes when he was apparently finished.

Even Bale scored 11 PL goals this season.

There is a theme here, if you score goals regularly in one country you can certainly do it in another..... Lukaku would do it again 100%.

I have seen Lukaku and I am not sold that he has improved much. I think a lot of it is to do with the competition level he is playing against and how that benefits his style of play.

Personally, I am not a fan of looking purely at stats, as this typically takes away the context around them. However, my stance on Lukaku is that he is a bit fit for us as his ball work in close quarters isn't good enough and he will quickly find himself back in the same situation he did at Utd when teams dropped off on them.

Couple of other points:

1) No players aren't poor if they play in other leagues. For instance, I said I wanted Cavani last year and was essentially laughed at. Again, it is about looking at the player and trying to ascertain how his skill set will suit the way we play.

2) Zlatan is a great player no doubt and I wasn't particularly surprised when he came into Utd and did the business. However, he is nearly 40 now and on one knee, that is a bit of a difference.

We do but Lukaku isn't the solution not for that pricetag, not for those absurd wages, not for that age and not for those skills, I'd say it's bullet dodged, just hope he doesn't change his mind.

I trust Werner and Kai to deliver next season and while it may backfire we should all keep in mind that Tuchel only came in the middle of the season and brought us back in Top 4, taking the points we got since he got here we should easily finish Top 4 during the whole season even with no improvements. The good thing is we will surely improve maybe not with a ST but with a new midfielder, a more attacking RB, a top class CB.

Yeah, fee and wages is what does it. If he was day 25/26 and £50m on £100k I would probably be ok with it. However, €100m at 28 and €200k+, nah I am alright thanks.

Think Haaland is impossible. This is the same club that decided to keep Lewandowski in his final year of the contract rather than sell him to Bayern and then let him go to them for free after that.

Yeah, Håland is a no go. To be honest, I am still annoyed we didn't get Cavani last year, he would be a good option for this team.

Surely the club don't think they're getting €20m for Emerson?

Pulisic has had his moments for sure, but let’s be honest if those three perform to the level we invested in them we wouldn’t be talking about Sancho, Haaland or other attackers.

But Dortmund's stance is pretty clear and all the Chelsea journalists have also said Haaland won't be sold this summer. Dortmund more inclined/prepared to let Sancho go this summer.

I have been saying we should go after Sancho instead since none of the world class striker are available.

I think let us sign Lewandowski for 2 seasons. Next summer, when Haaland is available let's go for him as Dortmund is reluctant to let him go this season. Werner will learn a lot from Lewandowsky under his shadow. However, I see it's a must for us to get Sancho and CHO going in the opposite direction. Perhaps, we can add a clause to CHO to get him back for an amount within 2 years of selling.

Don't see Bayern will sell Lewa in this summer.

not only do I disagree (I think he is absolutely underperforming)

but your maths are incorrect

715530d410d3651cd73f8b3cee5983a4.png

if we are going to do the 'full season' of minutes (meaning literally 90 X 38 = 3,420 minutes for JUST the EPL)

he is tracking to 7.88 (round up to 8 ) goals over a full 3420 minutes, NOT 13 goals, and then 3.94 assists (round to 4 )

8 goals and 4 assists in 3,420 minutes is POOR for a £60m player

and he would never play that many league minutes anyway, not a chance, for multiple factors, including he is not that durable

he had ONE goal all year against a quality team , the Real Madrid one

other than a goal against Leeds

he scored the other 4 against pure dogshit teams ad they were all meaningless goals othe than the Real goal. None decided a game, all were in blowouts (one of the blowouts was AGAINST us, that West Brom nightmare)

Krasnodar? (his other CL goal) LOLOL

finally his assist tally in the league is SHIT

if not for snagging one v Villa in that collapse on the last day

he would have had ONE all season (against Burnley)

if he played the same minutes Mbpape played all comps, then he would have 9 goals, 6 assists

Mbappe had, in only 3,720 minutes, 42 goals, 11 assists, including 6 goals against just Barca and Bayern in 3 games

48b82bc29d3fa58f52dce24138052886.png

Mbappe in the last 2 last two seasons, in only 6400 minutes total (so 3200 per person average)

has produced 101 goals

72 goals, 29 assists , all the age of 20-22yo

bottom line

I do NOT expect Pulisic to get even halfway to Mbappe

it even if he was only ONE THIRD of the way there

his numbers for 3200 minutes (Mbappe produces 50/51 goals in that over the past two seasons) would be 17 total goals produced, instead he is only at 13 if you increase his minutes to Mbappe's average for last two seasons

I am sorry, but 8 or 9 goals, and 4 or 5 assists all comps (with only 5 or 6 league goals, 2 or 3 league assists)  per year is SHIT return for a £60m player, a bloody winger/No. 10 type, as he is not a trad DMF, or a regista or a CB

he IS, absolutely, underperforming

he needs to step it up

When I said 13 goals and 6 assists I meant in his both PL seasons because he played 1727 mins in first and 1735 mins this season. That is almost equal to one full season.

In CL in both seasons he played 686 mins with 3g and 4a which is g/a every 98 mins. But I agree, he should do better, and last season he was definitely much better.

My point is that I trust every of our attackers to come good (even Ziyech) in the future and I am not obsessed with new players coming in.

I can somewhat see you point, and I do agree to point tht I think our lads will come good

bit I was only using last season as the ewxample of why I say he under perfromed

Sane for instance, a player being slated by so many (not on here so much)

in his last 3 full seasons

has averaged 2,968 minutes a season

40 goals, 49 assists total

at an even 3000 minutes a season, that is basically 30 total goals produced per season

Pulisic gives us 30 goals (hell, 25, 27) produced a year for 3 years, I am over the moon

he is NOWHERE near that now,

I thought he was well on his way after last season (2019/20)

as he was at 26 to 27 goals produced all comps if extrapolated to 3000 minutes (12/13 goals, 14 assists, granted his EPL production was lower per minute, especially assists)

but he has deffo regressed even as the team is so much better now, post Tuchel arrival

I WANT Pulisic to succeed, I like him, a lot, I rate him a lot

I just want him to step the fuck up

if the top striker target really off the market,,should we make another option such as Dusan Vlahovic? let say we can sell tammy for 40million,,add another 10-20million to buy vlahovic. i think it's not a bad move....

please, I beg of all, NO NO NO Kounde, TOO SHORT, we will get crushed in the air

Tapsoba, after many on here said they do not rate him like I did, I am off the boil (as I went back and watched a lot of games, ans they were right)

would much rather get Lacroix

Tapsoba is very lanky and not in a Rudiger type of way lanky-strong for his body type, he gets bullied a lot (and thsi open pinball Bundesliga)

Rice will cost £85m to 90m

I so doubt Donnarumma will want to come fight Mendy for number 1, he is going to PSG I think, not Juve (thank fuck)

good spot on Kaio Jorge, I rate him for a youth Brasilian, a lot, Arse is all over him, £20m maybe be too low

Aurélien Tchouaméni will unfortunately cost us a bit more than £5m I fear, say 40-45 ut I do rate hi, 40m I can live with

Sancho at £80m is fair price, £70m even better
