My point wasn't that I think he is good or not. I have not seen anything of him but one youtube video of highlights and some statistical analysis.

My first point was, that the initial set of stats that Vesper quote were poor as they didn't give any insight into how many shots the GK's were facing a game and anything on cross collection/distribution.

My second point was that I find a lot of people on here (and this is not just Vesper) who claim x player is amazing or y player is this and z player is that. What I find amazing is that so many people are able to watch enough 90 minute games of various teams around Europe, some of which have zero or close to zero tv coverage, to know so much about individual players. As I indicated to make a judgement on a player you need to watch 5-10 full 90 minute matches of a player to do this as a minimum. Statistics and YouTube clips aren't enough as they virtually tell you zilch about their: off the ball work, temperament, quality of chances created/finished, defensive structure of the team and how important the structure is to the underlying statistics of the individual, quality of opposition faced etc, etc.

Rajkovic could be the new Yashin for all I know, I cannot tell as all I have seen are stats and one youtube video. Therefore, I cannot vouch for him as I do not know any variables about him. I just do not know how there are so many people on here who know so much about so many players playing all over Europe.

Werner, Ziyech and Havertz are a dream come reality at around 160 Mn.

But we need to make smart buys going forward in this window

Reguilon over Chilwell at just 20-25 Mn

Predrag Rajkovic over any other GK at just 20-25 Mn

Rice to come in at 60 Mn and settle our defence/defensive midfield (may become the JT successor we have always missed)

Benrahma or Boga to replace Willian at 12-25 Mn (Have major doubts about CHO's mentality post new contract and we need another capable winger if we are again unlucky with injuries)

Mbuyamba on a free and maybe a punt at another CB like Kabak or Ben White to get some steel at the back

Thats still a massive ~160-170 Mn layout after we get Havertz.but adequately covers all areas of the squad with quality.

All we need to do is sell sell sell all our freaking massive pile of deadwood

I'm all in for Rajko but is there any rumours about him or it's only wishful thinking here?

Would if matter, normally the rumours are just that, rumours had plenty of transfer windows where we have been linked with quality, then buy shite. This window however atm is turning out to be awsome!!!

My first post was not meant to be anything other than a simple repeat of my desire that we buy Predrag. When pushed for stats after that, I delivered the goods.

As for watching games, it is easy as long as it is a top 10 league. Stream sites and replay sites abound.

Realistic squad for next season

GK: Onana/Rajkovic, Foster, Caballero

RB: Azpilicueta, James

CB: Zouma, Tomori, Rüdiger, Christensen, Rice

LB: Reguilón, Alonso, Azpilicueta

CM: Kante, Kovacic, Loftus-Cheek, Mount, Havertz, Rice, Gilmour

RW/LW: Ziyech, Pulisic, Hudson-Odoi, Benrahma/Buendía, Havertz, Werner

ST: Abraham, Werner, Giroud

This would be a excellent squad with the only piece missing being a elite center back which we can put all our focus on next summer.

Milan want to sign Bakayoko permanently for a figure of €20m. The player has already given his consent for the transfer to go ahead.

Deal.

Wages and amortization value off the books. And 4m€ profit for FY.

Exactly, I think 20m€ for Bakayoko is really fine since it's more than his remaining amortisation and gets him off the wage bill for good. And despite only 4m€ 'on the books profit' it would also boost the club's available cash funds for the full 20m to spend elsewhere.

It's a lot better than any deal involving a loan with option/obligation to buy which would mean less income for the 20/21 financial year. With covid still affecting matchday income etc. this coming season it's much better to get as much money in from transfers as possible by selling the loan army / surplus players rather than keep loaning them out. It will also make things a lot easier once the new loan restrictions kick in.

I was not targetting you with my post, it was more of a general statement about fans. :P
