I can respect that opinion completely

so

that leaves Dembele or die

basically atm

(unless we stop-gap on old or damn-near old or roll dice on Mitrovic)

Lyon is going to RAPE us in the summer, especially if Dembele finishes off hot and then other clubs start a bidding war

would not be shocked to see us cough up £60m, even 70m at end of day (which is fiscal rape IMHO)

:(

One other I guess that would be a dice roll but I'd be interested to see if they have what it takes to make the next step up is Morelos at Rangers.

He clearly knows where the goal is and his style I think suits Lampard where he is prepared to press and fight for everything.

His disciplinary record is a big red flag but he does seem to have improved compared to last year and you'd hope he's starting to mature.

I'd be surprised if Rangers were able to turn down anything around the £20m mark, so he may be worth a punt?

He would be better than the dregs we have other than Tammy.

I will put him down as a wild card with Mitrovic.

I do admit I like Osimhen, as least his potential. He looks a badass in terms of presentation and attitude.

I think if Jovic is available on loan that should be what we do for this season.

I do think if he came here and was a success, there is a chance of Real selling to us. We seem to have a good relationship with them from the dealings in recent times and I feel that they may have already made their mind up on Jovic. If they were offered something similar to what they originally paid for him I think they would let him go. Reports suggested they were reluctant to sanction Kova on a permanent transfer away and it was always the intention to bring him back but we managed to sort that deal.

I think if it helped go towards them moving for a bigger hitter like Neymar/Mbappe or one of the Liverpool attackers then a deal could be struck.

And if he joined and didn't suit then he's given back to them.

I agree that Jovic on loan would be worth consideration.

Am I remembering correctly an interview in which Kova explained he had made it clear to Real that he was not interested in going back there? If so, it's probably more true that Kova's stance sorted the move than that we did. Either way, if Madrid recruit one of the big hitters then Jovic probably won't see much future there either so I think you are right about us having a chance.

I know at the time when we got him on loan he pushed for a move away for regular game time. I'm not sure if that developed into wanting to force a permanent move thereafter.

Jovic could well find himself in the same position though if he made a loan move. Changing from a lack of game time and seemingly unfancied by the manager, if he were to find himself playing regularly and enjoying his football then he may too feel that a permanent move is in his best interests even if Real wanted him back.

Real Madrid or whoever, if a player is intent on leaving, it's extremely hard to retain them and keep them happy, especially in the case of players who may not be playing regularly.

I don't see Real Madrid letting him go at this point. The closer we get to Friday, the more likely some shit like Piatek joining permanently will happen. [emoji17]

Lampard clearly doesn't want Piatek for the long run so the board is beyond pathetic if they buy him.

Jovic on loan with an option to buy similar to what we did with Higuain would be great. Unfortunately couldn't see Real Madrid agreeing to it after just buying him a few months ago. If he were to come here on loan and bang the goals in they'd want him back and then we're back in the same boat searching for a long term option.

That's okay. We'll have more options in the summer

The interview I think I remember was about the permanent move, not the loan.
