LDN Blue 7,903
I suppose you're right Alex, however I worry that AVB will not trust Bertrand/Van Aanholt yet and will buy someone like Perriera instead..

Term-X 7,891
Maybe he has reason not to trust them yet? What would that be based on though?, training sessions.. Because apart from Bertrand’s appearance in the carling cup, he doesn't have much to go on, Kalou impresses in training ffs.
CHOULO19 24,332
Losing Cole would not be so much of a blow now than it would have been in 2010.I totally agree, he's nearing the end of his career anyways. Problem is, it's extremely hard to find a decent fullback now a days if the bertrand/PVA bet doesn't work out.
termninja 5,290
He'll stay with us for a few more years while PVA and Bertrand get a run. I do hope to see one of them become our new standard left back, but If we decide to go for a new player I'd like us to go for Baines.Agree with the posts above, Cole is in decline. He's still class though.
Kieran. 6,317
Cole is still solid at the back, but his offensive ability is on a severe decline.

BlueLion. 21,491
We'll probably try and sign Pereira in the summer if Cole does move on... if he leaves in January we at least have Bertrand and Ferreira.

CHOULO19 24,332
That's really great news. Watching the game vs Everton, I was absolutely amazed by his stamina and ability to keep making runs down the whole length of the wing for the entire game. Coleman rarely left his own half. It would've been near impossible finding a LB as good as him.

Kieran. 6,317
Is he a legend though? I love Ashley and consider him to be one of the best LBs of all-time, but I'm not sure he's a Chelsea legend. Maybe after a few more years, he's only been here for four or five. After all Zola only came to us practically at the end of his career (age 30 if I'm not mistaken).
