chelsea_4_eva 1,182
Ashley Cole Could Leave Chelsea For Barcelona Or Real Madrid – Report The English left-back apparently wants wage parity with club captain John Terry - a demand Chelsea are not willing to meet. Chelsea and England left-back Ashley Cole, 28, could be set to depart Stamford Bridge because of wage demands that would see him equal the pay-packets received by Chelsea's top-earners, Frank Lampard and John Terry, according to The Sunday Mirror. Cole, who has been dubbed ‘Cashley’ due to the manner in which he parted ways with former club Arsenal, is looking to receive a deal in the region of £150,000-a-week. This would more than double his current weekly wage, which stands at £60,000. The weekend tabloid is reporting that this demand has been rejected by Chelsea and that a move to Primera Division heavyweights Real Madrid or treble winning form-team Barcelona could be carved open. A deal that could be worth up to £16 million has been mooted in the press recently, with fiscal superpower Manchester City also touted as potential bidders. The Eastlands outfit have already done business with Chelsea over the past season, taking Wayne Bridge out of the Blues' hands during the winter window. Chelsea's new manager, Carlo Ancelotti, is a fan of Cole, but the Italian will not break the bank to keep the left-back. Should The Sunday Mirror's speculation be proved accurate, the west London club will need to reinforce during the summer market as their squad would contain no recognised left-back. Stamford 3
I can't see it to be honest, Ash has said time and again that he is happy with us. I think that Carlo Ancelotti would be well pissed if he went. He has said that he wants to keep Cole for sure.

the wes 7,212
REAL MADRID are on the verge of bidding for Ashley Cole after he rejected a new Chelsea deal. The England star, 28, has turned down the offer which would leave him £30,000-a-week short of the club's top earners. Cole, signed from Arsenal three years ago, wants to commit to the Blues but the contract has to be right. A source said: "Ashley loves Chelsea and is genuinely excited about working with new boss Carlo Ancelotti. "He wants to give the best years of his career to the club but the deal has to be right for such an important contract. "He needs to feel as valued as any of the club's other top players." Cole, currently on £70,000 a week, also interests European champions Barcelona. But it is big-spending Madrid who have stepped up their interest in the left-back, who has won 71 England caps. Madrid president Florentine Perez is aware the club's defence needs strengthening and new boss Manuel Pellegrini is a long-term admirer of Cole.
