After those agonizing defeats in supercup and FA Cup finals this new young generation has finally got their hands on a major trophy at Chelsea, and the best one at that, nothing gets better than a CL trophy. Now that the hurdle has finally been overcome, i feel that nothing can stop this hungry group of players of achieving further success, go on lads and always strive for more, just like the old guard did before. 💪🔥🏆❤️

This was pointed out by other fans.  Can someone explain the 2 different trophies? It's obvious they're not the same if you look at the shape of the handles.

In 2014 heroic effort without Peter Czech in the semi - we went out.
Next we went out to Paris twice and to Bayern last year but we were not really that good to win it.
Champions league is difficult for everybody but in the last ten years it was Real Madrid who managed to snatch four. Real managed to win those champions leagues with Cristiano of course and not with today's clowns.
The rest is CFC 2, Bayern 2, Uefalona 2 and pool 1.
This time we have a fairly young team and I think it's up to Abra to create a Chelsea era.

Loved the trophy presentation on the pitch as well! No walking up steps and trying to cram everyone together. Looked so much better!!

We seem to have created five dangerous situations infront of goal to City's six.
But in that department City had the last fifteen minutes sort of going for them because the scoreline was such that it was inevitably their turn to press forward.
So in effect City were not really the attacking team on Saturday.

Their best chance was with Foden. He could easily make a goal.

City didn't create anything as clear as the two Werner chances early on (especially the second one) and the Pulisic chance.

Like you said they had half or nearly chances but were thwarted consistently by blocks and great defending before they could even reach the goal. All 3 centre backs and both wing backs made some fantastic blocks and tackles to prevent what could have been great chances but ultimately they snuffed it out before it became a chance compared to City who failed to do the same.

Before the Mahrez shot in the last minute (which was hopeful more than anything) I genuinely can't remember anything else in the game. Was their one shot on target that Mahrez mis-hit cross?
