The reason is form, and that is the only of reason why Mount starts. If you believe that Mount is better than an in-form Ziyech then you're deluded. Ziyech is by far our best attacker/midfielder, the things he has done with Ajax in the CL is something that none of these players have achieved. Ziyech in good form is basically world class, while Mount is good. The difference in both of their ceilings is astronomical

Looks like they are playing a much deeper line today because of all those defeats. But yeah, this defense wont be unlocked by the midfield we have right now. Need a few changes. Lets see if Tuchel is the anti-Lampard and doesn't wait till the 65th minute for changes

Zouma's positioning was absolutely shocking for their goal. As I have said elsewhere, AC is really the only one that can play the CCB role when Silva is out as Zouma and Rudi get caught he poor positions and do not read the game well enough. 

As for the second half, we are going to need to get Ziyech and CHO on as we are far too static at the moment as Kova, Mount and Werner are the only ones moving off the ball properly.

I’ve said repeatedly that I don’t like Azpi or Tammy playing. But they aren’t the primary cause of our issues today for me. Well, Tammy is in part. 
 

Our issue is being clueless when we get near the opposing box.

I haven't offered an opinion on the players so you can't make any assessment on my view from that post. I have written on Mason numerous times previously.

He could've pressed the ball a bit more, but you're not expecting your CCB to be taking up that position. It was laughable he allowed a simple forward pass completely to take him out because he has yet again failed to stick to his correct position. 

As I have been saying in the AC thread, it is all great when Zouma pulls off tackles like he did against Palace last year, but the reason he has to do it is because he gets caught out from not doing the basics properly which means either this happens or he has to do risky challenges like that one. That isn't good defending.
