Am probably gonna end up jinxing it this fucking time but christ, do people not get tired about saying that about Azpi all the time? Every time, there's 'Azpi will struggle against X, Y, Z' bla bla bla but every time, he dealt with whatever threat well enough that there's no problem from his side.

except this season he has been burnt for pace more than usual, and its only natural

he is rapidly ageing out and has played INSANE minutes each season for well over a decade now

also, Sterling is a fair example, as he is one of the fastest players in Europe

I am not saying it will happen for sure, but its harsh to bash someone simply for broaching the subject

Does anyone really expect anything from this game?

Remember how we were excited for this season and new players? If somebody told me that Chelsea with Pulisic, Werner, Ziyech and Havartz would be unwatchable I wouldn't believe it.

And “managers” do everything necessary to fully utilise their strongest assets. All we’ve seen is square pegs/round holes and you expect us to be contempt with such clueless tactics? Here’s an idea, if it’s not working, change it. God forbid we see Werner on the wing and our most expensive signing ever not utilized at all.

I hope Lamp 'll change his system, i don't believe in yours but if he decided to play as you 'd like and we loose because Werner and Havertz are still shit, at least it would put an end to this wrong diagnosis. Their positions on a game sheet is not the reason why they struggle.  Regardind Lamp, i can't disagree with you, he's an emblematic character but a poor manager.

I'm going to miss this due to an under 15's match and to be honest I can't actually say I am that bothered.

I can't see anyway we can win this game what so ever.

Yeeee you won't miss much lol. If you've seen our last few games..you know what to expect

A positive result is far more important than a good, strong performance today. We need to keep picking up points and stay within the pack.

We've shown against the likes of Man Utd, Spurs and Sevilla that we can sit in deep and defend properly. Unlike those teams though, City will play a more open, expansive game and there will be spaces to exploit on the counter.

I think this is the game to play Werner as a centre forward, flanked by Pulisic and either CHO or Ziyech depending on his fitness.

It might not be pretty but if we do it right this City team can be 'got at' and we do have attacking players and pace that can hurt them.

teams are targeting it with some success though. FA Cup final for instance

What does that have to do with Azpi specifically? We were just dumb to play a stupid high line with little pressing upfront against that Arsenal frontline to begin with.

Arsenal repeatedly played balls over the top on Azpilicueta's side in that game. One of them resulted in a pen.
