On my FM save he got 44 goals in his second season mainly playing CM (striker for a month when Werner was injured).

So you do not trust academy boys like Tammy I see :carlo:

Please don't tell me he's also an anime nerd. That's the only way it could get worse...

He just went to masquerade party ffs

And the guy plays piano. I do not like anime or Harry Potter but if he does that is still much better than usual football player who did not read one book in life and only cares about whores, cars and new hairstyles...

The dots at the end and a few others commenting sounded like you guys were disappointed by this harmless cosplay

Crazy, right?

He's an excellent super sub, couldn't lose that plus i have so many midfield options it freed up room to give Gallagher and Anjorin more minutes.

I know theres been a big show about how Mason doesnt feel threatened by Kai and will rise to the occasion. But you gotta think it must have hurt him. Specially when he reads FL praising him so. Egos are strange, brittle things. Its going to be interesting to see just what formation FL will settle on when we manage all the lads fit.

Nice to have you back bro :tiphat:

The situation with Mount is pretty clear to me.

Even tho some suggested he will be a starter next season with Kai as number 8s I cannot see it. From everything Frank said in the last couple of days about Kante, and our interest in Rice, not to mention how good Kova is, it is easy to understand we will play 4-2-3-1.

Mount cannot play deeper. So he will be Havertz backup. But still he will play a lot. When Havertz or even Ziyech (Kai will move to RW) are injured or rested he will jump in. I do not like to see him on wing but he will play even there like we saw last season.

So he will play a lot.

About being threatened by Havertz I think there is a bit of truth in that. I mean he showed up in training on Wednesday unlike every other player who had game the day before for national team. Kova, Giroud, Kante, CHO, Chris, Abraham all played the same day but were not there.

So looks like Mount did not want to take day off. This is great mentality to have and also great for him, Chelsea and Frank but I imagine a few eye rolling among players who did not even think about going to training on day off when they saw the pics from training.

Btw I am not criticizing Mount for this, just observation since you mentioned egos.

Cheers buddy.

I agree with probably all you say. I was just asking the question of how Mason would feel. I dont think it will bother him. Like you say I can see him getting a lot of time. And I see him on the RW too especially if CHO doesnt get his act together.

Still not sure about the 4231 but hope FL is.

Firstly, it's just for fun. Nothing malicious about it.

And secondly, it's ironic you reacted this way when you and some others were poking fun at the way Chilwell speaks the other day because he hangs out with Drinkwater...

Havertz is world treasure and should be cherished.

Guys like Drinkwater or Barkley deserve what they got for some stupid things they did.

But Pizzy said he was joking, so I stopped there.

The point here is you guys were mocking another person for the way he speaks and all because he hangs out with someone you don't like.

Good article this morning

Havertz seems the model of the modern German general

Wunderkind's choice to join Lampard at Chelsea says much for Stamford Bridge development plan

The biggest doubt about Lampard as a manager is the vulnerability of his sides to the counter. No club conceded as many goals to fast breaks in the Premier League last season as Chelsea and no side in the Championship conceded such a high proportion of goals on the counter as Lampard's Derby in 2018-19. It is too easy to say that is an issue of personnel

Kai was played out of position, was nervous and lost confidence which resulted in him playing bad today. It's all on Lampard in my opinion. If he played at CAM from the start then he'd atleast give one assist to Timo for sure

I know it was his first game for us and I know he can play in different positions, I hope Lampard will eventually play Havertz in the No.10 role soon - which is arguably his best position - rather than "abuse" his versatility and move him around and not let him develop in his best position.

Pretty sure he was played on the right on purpose today to keep him a bit out of the meat-grinding middle. RLC was tasked with taking down the long balls. He did not do particularly well but Havertz would have been crushed by Dunk. Quiet debut. Give him time. The pressure clearly took to him but he will be fine once he settles.

he has two main positions

CAM/No 10

and as a striker, whether alone or in a pairing

he can score a shedload of goals as a striker. teamed with Timo they could be a terror

I hope Lampard is creative enough to try this

I HATE rigidity

its why Sarri and the 2nd season Conte drove me bonkers

Hes got the same body language as ozil or berbatov where he may look gloomy or upset but its hard to tell. Had a few moments where he was clearly annoyed he played poorly but hopefully that bad
