For some reason, I like how you phrased that.

even though this was just a 1-0, it is not htat we have been hanging on for dear life. we could have scored more but we defended well today. too much negativity on here. this was a mature performance

Pulisic carrying us like Hazard did

You say this every season lol Sent from my SM-G973F using Tapatalk

I truly cannot even remember who won the FA Cup just 2 years ago. That's how quickly the memory of that trophy leaves my mind.
We miss out on the CL and it hurts us for years. We go full strength and fatigue our players (thus harming our CL hopes) for a trophy people will forget about in a year just isn't worth it in my eyes.
We did lol

I didn't mean that offensively and apologies if it came across like that

I genuinely like everybody here. I don't get annoyed by people with opinions who are able to articulate them. We seem to have scared away pretty much all of the people who want to throw insults around,

I'm back Greavsie and I agree with you mate best thing about this forum is there's no fence sitters say what you believe and if you ruffle some feathers so fucking what we're Chelsea home to rebels 60's skins, 70's punks, 80's casuals

and rejoice in the fact that our club have never yet contemplated playing a weakened side in a semi-final. Don't let me down Frank.

But someone mentioned that Conte 2 years ago started semi final vs Spurs with Hazard and Costa on the bench. Even Fabregas.

Anyway, what would need to happen so you can say Frank let you down?

It is not like we are like Liverpool or Leicester with clear starting 11 and big difference in quality of two possible teams.

Clearly our best defensive line is Alonso, Zouma, Rudiger and Azpi. We played in this lineup just 3 games this season. And won all three with clean sheets.

Giroud is our best striker but was 3rd choice for more than half of the season.

In midfield Frank is also changing all the time and he does not have idea what is our best lineup. Maybe our best performances this season Everton 4:0 and Liverpool 2:0 came with Barkley and Gilmour starting in midfield.

Kovacic and Pulisic have been our two best players this season and both have not been regular starters this season.

CHO or Pedro for Willian on RW can easily be better options.

No matter what competition we play Frank seems to change all the time so whoever starts on Sunday I do not think we can say Frank throw FA cup.

It was like watching Sarriball. I am not sure we can win many games playing this way and definitely not the way Lamp want us to play.

We created a few and we concede almost nothing although i'm not sure i can credit our defense. We played Norwich who didn't play their full first team at SB.

Brilliant tunnel-cam shot reveals Giroud and Pulisic planning their goal

https://www.chelsea-news.co/2020/07/video-brilliant-tunnel-cam-shot-reveals-giroud-pulisic-planning-goal/

Chelsea weren’t great against Norwich, in fact they weren’t even very good, but they did manage to get a goal with one moment of brilliance.

Christian Pulisic, one of their best players on the night, showed quick feet to lose Todd Cantwell on the left, and delivered a ball across the 6 yard box which Olivier Giroud nodded home.

Chelsea TV had footage from the tunnel which showed the two players speaking before the game, making gestures that indicated they were planning something very similar from the start.

The tunnel cams are a new addition to the league, and if they’re bringing stuff like this to us, we can imagine them sticking around.

Felt we controlled the game but teams are starting to really press our wingers and let the midfielders have more space since there's absolutely no creativity there. Our fullbacks also offer pretty much nothing pushing forward....As constructed we're such a predictable and easy side to defend.

I thought Cho finally had some pep in his step so maybe he can help spark this lackluster attack. I would let him run the full game if fit against Man U.

3 points is again the only positive for me from this game.

There were so many mistakes which could have gone against us if the quality of our opponents was better (No disrespect to Norwich) ... Through balls nearly falling to our opponents, bad positioning, cant break the defense, bad passing, weak on the ball. After watching yest game I was wondering if Lampard's tactics are wrong or the players are just making silly mistakes.

One thing I dont understand is why do we always keep starting from the back and trying to reset the attack from the back everytime when your in the final 3rd, none of our defenders look comfortable when they are pressed. This fixation needs to stop as it doesnt matter what formation we play it seems like the same.

I hope the gods are really kind to us like they have been because only that is going to safe us in the next 3 games which are clearly against quality opponents.

On the game I thought Kovacic was really good, I cannot see him not been a pivotal part of the midfield for a long time. He carries the ball so well and his movement is sublime.

Agreed. If he could just add something like 5-6 goals and 5-6 assists a season he would be an untouchable.

Plus his defensive work rate is 2nd only to Kante. Always tracking back unlike Ruben & Ross.
