23. Conor Gallagher

James, Tomori, Mount and Abraham had great season in Championship and all got chance this season in Chelsea. Not only as squad players but to be regular.

Gallagher is having a tremendous season. So he deserves the same. But tbh circumstances are different. We had transfer ban last summer.

If Swensea get promotion he should stay there and play PL regularly. Jorginho and Kante are not far away from leaving. Barkley even sooner. So there will be place for him soon.

To keep him next season as 4th/5th choice would be selfish and not good for him.

Conor has future in Chelsea. Frank and Makelele especially are in constant contact with him.

This season he played: DM, CM, AM, LM, RM, LW, RW.

In Charlton he showed how he can score great goals and now in Swensea he is showing how creative he can be. 7 assists in 19 games.

Needs a two year loan to a PL side. This season was an exception. What you really need to do with the young boys is to try and get them to about 100-150 games by the age of 22/23. Gallagher looks like a good player but the worst thing for him is to end up only playing 10-15 games a season for the next two years.

I think a Premier League loan next season would be good for him. We're stacked in midfield and he would get lost in the shuffle.

His performances in the Championship this season would suggest he can transition to one of the teams in the lower half of the Premier League. His versatility too should help him get regular game time. Over the next couple of seasons he'll want to look at locking down a more specific position to become more specialist but for the time being it's just important to be playing regularly.

Best of the loan army this year. 4000+ minutes across Charlton, Swansea. Loked vv tidy and played at a high standard in a deeper midfield role at Swansea. Just don't do an Ampadu and send him to a club with too many options for his position!

Looking at the league, something like Graham Potter's Brighton or Southampton (with Pierre-Emile Hoj-something leaving) would be ideal but the club should ensure he gets a fair chance at a starting role.

Apparently we looking for PL loan to a team that play similar. If Bielsa wants him is not for to keep him on the bench forever. Bielsa is analyse freak so if he brings a player he's already in his plans somewhere.

Do they need him?

I would loan him out to a club, which really needs a Gallagher type of midfielder

Someone mentioned Southampton recently, which wouldn't be a bad club. They need someone to replace Hojbjerg, I'd reckon.

Please no. They are likely gonna be the league's worst side next season.

Bit torn over the prospect of him going to Leeds.

On one hand working under Bielsa will be fantastic for him (plus there's every chance Leeds will immediately challenge for Europe like SHU did), on the other one of our own at Leeds even temporarily just feels wrong and i imagine he'd have to be ridiculously good to win them over.
