I don't see anyone paying £80m - £100m for him this summer. According to Matt Law, West Ham need money to invest in the squad and if they want to do that this summer, they might want to sell him. Pizy 15,911
Rice would be a great signing for us or United but that valuation is nuts. Something like £60-70m with the English/PL tax you always see would be fair I think. But around £100m? That would be insane in the same way it would be for Grealish.

King Kante 983
1 hour ago, Pizy said: United may have several top quality signings sealed and delivered before we even actually bid on anyone. It’s like the reverse of last summer where we were doing business left and right and United fans were screaming bloody murder at their club for doing fuck all. The CL win has done a lot to calm the concern but seeing other teams starting to drastically improve while we’re silent is annoying. United we’re always going to go big this summer so it’s not a shock. But I figured we’d attack the market for the few needs we have and get our business done swiftly. That’s clearly not happening. We're always silent though, doesn't mean we're not doing anything, although I cannot prove we are. I think we just need to hold tight. One issue I see is that the club want to get rid of some deadwood before buying this year. Currently we have the following players with no role here whatsoever: Baka Baths*t Emerson Baba Drinky RLC Barkley Moses (don't think he has been confirmed yet) On top of that we also have players like the following who have questionable roles: Zouma Tammy Giroud Ziyech Kepa Zappa (maybe on the above list, but I do think he could play RWB2 after his performances last season.) Personally, I am starting to think we need to shift a few players before we actually buy anyone. However, that is going to be tough as all of the above players are on wages higher than they're worth. We’ve had reports over the past few days that we haven’t even bid or been in contact with our supposed top 2 targets (Haaland & Hakimi). So unless we’re secretly working on signings that no journalists have a clue about (which is entirely possible!) then we really may be doing nothing at this point. Maybe waiting in players who are still playing in the Euro’s. Or…..maybe we’re signing Messi and had to wait until today when his contract expired

Hermione 250
Rice is a pretty poor player overall baffles my mind why some even want him, for 25-30£ millions at most he would be okay for squad depth but above that it's just poor, would rather we get that French midfielder from Monaco, who actually looks already like first team quality. Also Rice's obsession with Mount is pretty creepy to say at least, if he went to a rival I doubt most of us would care as he simply isn't that good to begin with.

Not targeting at you specifically but this is what happens when people just believe every Tom, Dick, Harry on transfers out there and then when reliable sources say we haven't bid, negotiated etc, they get all mad, start to curse etc. It's the same case every bloody summer. It's like groundhog day!

I rate him at £60m max (because of English tax) zero chance I would drop £100m on him, zero my top DMF targets are simple the pipe dreams Joshua Kimmich (IF he refuses to renew due to Bayern low-balling his salary, which is now in play but still a SUPER long shot, plus will not come into play until next summer,, as he is signed until end of June, 2023) Nicolò Barella (as close to a Kante type as there is out there, but he would be insanely expensive now, and no clue if he would leave Italy, he did not want to last time, when we made a big run at him) then the realistic trad DMF's Aurélien Tchouaméni Manuel Locatelli Declan Rice Boubacar Kamara (can play CB as well, and is now so cheap, as Marseille are financially fucked) Hybrids (CMF/DMF) all are teens atm Eduardo Camavinga turns 19 in 4 and a half months Jude Bellingham (give him another year or two, he just turned 18yo 2 days ago) Ryan Gravenberch turns 20yo in 10 and a half months, more CMF than DMF atm Bruno Guimarães
Pizy 15,911
Mbappe gives off the vibe that he’s kind of arrogant and self centered to me. Not to CR7 or Zlatan levels of course but still. I can only ever see him at Real Madrid if he leaves PSG. Don’t think anyone else would be considered from his POV.
