On the positive some of the reserves could get some action, but wouldnt be surprised to see some acquisitions in January

What's the point of having these youngsters if we're always gonna look for replacements outside the club?

Muscle spasm or something like that...great...

Yeah, well, let's hope the spasm will stay off the pitch for him... :P

Joe Cole should be fit for England's World Cup qualifiers against Kazakhstan and Belarus despite limping out of Chelsea's win over Aston Villa on Sunday.

Cole was forced off in the 57th minute of the 2-0 win that kept Chelsea at the top of the Premier League on goal difference after a lunging tackle from behind by Villa midfielder Stilian Petrov.

He appeared to be in severe discomfort as he was helped from the field and went straight down the tunnel for treatment. But Chelsea manager Luiz Felipe Scolari said the skillful midfielder should recover in time for England's next match — against Kazakhstan at Wembley on Saturday.

"It's a little problem in the foot," Scolari said. "But I think two or three days with the national team and he should be in the condition to play."

Good news
