Aesthetic Relic 301
Kalou ready to leave Chelsea Chelsea forward Saloman Kalou has said he is prepared to leave the club if he can't earn a place in the starting eleven. The Ivory Coast international has found his opportunities limited since Luiz Felipe Scolari has taken over, making just two substitute appearances in the Premier League this season. The 23-year-old has said he is working hard to retain his place in the starting eleven but if things remain the same he may be forced to move elsewhere. "Of course I practice hard to have opportunities, but the manager's decisions must be respected, even if I'm here to play," Kalou told Setanta Sports. "It's up to me to work twice as hard at training, and to be honest I try to give my best in order to improve my football and hopefully it's going to pay off. "I don't know what my future consists of, the season is still long. It's too early to take a decision right now. "When a young player arrives at Chelsea he's happy to learn, and then you can have the opportunity to grow in another club or in here. "As a young player I am aware of the fact that I have to make the perfect choice and at some point of my career I'll have to accept to fly with my own wings." pablo814 1
LPS should play him more. He may be saving him for when Drogs gets back to 100%, but who knows. He has too much talent to let him leave, and I think he fits well into the current system.
Elliott 7
You mean LFS pablo. Kalou's a good player and yet to reach his best. He can be inconsistent, but that's partially because he only gets inconsistent runs in the team!
manpe 10,861
I like Kalou. Good player, good person... Young, talented, technical. He should stay.
terry26 6
i agree - he should be given a few more chances too talented to just let him leave and he fits in well with the team
Hingis 0
I maybe am the only one here but I think he's overated but it only is my opinion of course.
EskWeston 696
For me Kalou is a great talent, and i can't understand why he has yet to be used this season. For me i would have him every single time over Malouda. Kalou is a real threat and although not perfect has improved every year with us so far. terry26 6
i feel the same - he's got the speed and determination to get past people as well (yes he misses more times that i can count) but at least he tries and i wanna see Riise's face when he sees Salou when we play Roma

BlueLion. 21,491
He can brilliant one match and poor the next. He is in a delicate part of his development and needs regular first team football at this stage.
carefreeluke 27
Kalou has potential to be one of the best around, he needs to work on his finishing and consistency. He's only young so he has got time to improve. I agree a good run in the starting 11 would only help him.
Badboy 1,526
He is a good player i think he is better coming off the bench though.

.Cee 50
dont tell me you forgot what Riise did the last time Salou put the ball into the box OH!! Yeah, I forgot who assisted Riise for the own goal...
riks12 3
Before every much I am hoping to see him on starting line-up, but sadly Felipao prefers Malouda. Kalou would defo bring some Brazilian type of flair into team, at least more than Malouda. I wouldn't like to see Kalou getting wasted on bench like happened to SWP. BlueLion. 21,491
OH!! Yeah, I forgot who assisted Riise for the own goal... HE CROSSED THE BALL IN FROM THE LEFT IT LANDED RIGHT ON RIISE'S HEAD THAT'S WHY WE LOVE SALOMON KALOU :D
Kez 2,727
I'd rather see Kalou play than Malouda tbh. Kalou gives it his all Malouda is lazy
the wes 7,212
Salomon Kalou insists he has no intention of quitting Chelsea and says he wants to become a Stamford Bridge legend. The Ivory Coast striker has made just three substitute apperances under new boss Luiz Felipe Scolari, fuelling speculation that his time at the club could be coming to an end.Barcelona have been linked with a move for the 23-year-old, but Kalou is determined to stay and fight for his place by forcing himself into Scolari's plans. "I want to be one of Chelsea's most important players, fulfil the expectations that people have of me and play a part in as many wins as possible," Kalou said in the Daily Star. "I'm going to have to work hard, score a lot of goals and help set more up. I hope we can win all the competitions that we are taking part in. "With some coaches you can tall straight away that they're good. In the first training sessions I could see Scolari was the right man for the job. "A lot of people feel we don't play attractively, but we can change the way they think and play football that's nice to watch."
