Only suprize from yesterdays squad was young Trevs inclusion on the bench. Must have impressed Conte hope he is more use to us than Nate was.

With him,Ampadu,Serling,Mount,Dasilva and maybe Taylor-Crossdale we have a good batch of young hopefuls. Lets  keep our fingers crossed they end up saving us alot of money and time looking at other young stars to sign up.

It may be a bit early to include Martel in that list but we should definitely add Callum and Reece to it.

The more the merrier mate. I'm always hopeful for any of our youth when they get guven a chance to shine Its then down to them to take it. I just dont want us to over hype them like we have done upto now.

Trevoh Thomas Chalobah (born 5 July 1999) is an English professional footballer who plays for Premier League club Chelsea.

Born in Freetown, Sierra Leone, Chalobah was named by Antonio Conte as a substitute for the 2018 FA Cup Final victory against Manchester United on 19 May 2018 at Wembley Stadium despite never having previously played a professional game.

Chalobah signed his first professional contract with Chelsea in June 2016 and signed a new contract in March 2018. His youth honours at Chelsea include the UEFA Youth League in 2015-16, the FA Youth Cup in 2015-16 and 2016-17, and the Under-18 Premier League in 2016-17.

Is this still right thread for Trev? Gone to Ipswich now, his manager confirmed he’s signing as a midfielder which is disappointing for me, his future I’m almost certain will be at CB..but we’ll see

Chelsea hand another highly rated youngster new contract

https://www.chelsea-news.co/2019/08/chelsea-hand-another-highly-rated-youngster-new-contract/

Chelsea have handed a contract extension to promising defender Trevoh Chalobah, according to The Evening Standard.

Chalobah has two years remaining on his current deal, with an extension likely to keep him at the club for at least four more years.

The 20-year old can play at the back or in midfield, and is the younger brother of former Chelsea player Nathaniel Chalobah.

Nathaniel plays in the same roles as his brother, and has since been plying his trade for Watford.

According to the report form The Standard, Chalobah is likely to go out on loan again this season, with Huddersfield Town and West Brom showing an interest.

The Blues are looking to tie up a number of new contracts this week, with Willian, Reece James, Tammy Abraham, and Callum Hudson-Odoi all rumoured to be close to be confirmed.

West Brom would be great for him

We did not follow this lad that much but he is developing really well over the years. Step by step.

2 seasons in Championship where he played regularly which is most important at that age.

And last season great season in Ligue 1. He saved Lorient from relegation with a goal actually and saw some great long passes from him which we know Zouma is not capable. Not to mention technical abilities.

he is much better on the ball than Zouma

and

he is the same height

1.90m

big lad, perfect height for a CB or DMF or a late game defensive full back

I have zero issues if he makes the squad

other than that cray cray hot mess of his hair, lolol

Did not see anything special about his passing, but it could be nerves and the idea of only do simple passes as a result.

Makes total sense as a replacement for Zouma, who thinks is better than he actually is and demands playing time-better squad player for sure.
