It may be a wait for the weekend for the senior players at the club, but Chelsea's Michael Mancienne (pictured) and Ryan Bertrand are looking to feature in England U21s upcoming and final European Championship qualifier against Portugal this Friday. It could prove to be a dream debut for youngster Bertrand, currently on loan at Norwich, as the Young Three Lions are playing at Wembley. As a relative veteran with six caps to his name, Mancienne will nonetheless relish the chance to run out at the home of football.

Stuart Pearce's side will be hoping to build on the success of their opening match of the season, a 2-1 win against Slovenia at Hull last month. But they are sure to face a stern test from a highly rated Portugal U21 side which held Pearce's side to a draw in Agueda in November last year.

Pearce commented: 'We're delighted to be back at Wembley again. It's a massive game for the boys and we hope that as many people as possible will come along and support the team. The fans support means everything and I'm sure they will spur the team on.'

A win will guarantee England a place at the play-offs in October, meaning they are just one step from qualifying for the Uefa European Championships in summer 2009.

Your support of the Young Blues in this fixture could be crucial and it is certainly a bargain with adults getting in for £10 (Level 1), £15 (Level 2) and children under-16 costing only £5 (Level 1 only). Your chance to experience Wembley has never been so cheap!

Tickets are available now from the Hotline on 0844 826 2010 or via TheFA.com/Tickets where further information can be found. Fans will also be able to purchase on the night at Wembley Stadium, for the same price.

Kick-off is at 7.45pm

i wonder why Scott Sinclair is not getting pick :readthemessage:

Mainly because the players ahead of him are getting regular premier league starts. Scott plays for the U19's at the moment. But given a few games in our first team i am sure it won't be long before he makes the U21's.

Also Miroslav Stoch has been given a call up to the Slovakia U21's

Scott sinclair really needs starts.

Yes he does, and i am sure he will get more starts and minutes for us this season than he has any previous season which will be a good step in the right direction for him.
