Our colleagues at Sky in Italy claim a deal is close between Chelsea and CSKA Moscow midfielder Aleksandr Golovin.

New Chelsea coach Maurizio Sarri tried to  sign Golovin when he was in charge at Napoli.

This part is key for me. It shows that we aren't simply riding the WC hype train, but our new head coach scouted and wanted him when he was still unknown. With Roman's ties in Russian football it looks like the most obvious transfer ever.

Important news about the future of Aleksandr Golovin come directly from France. According to Le10Sport colleagues, Russian talent would be a step away from Monaco, long since on the trail of the football player owned by CSKA Moscow. The Principality club would have put 35 million euros on the plate for the play of the trequartista, also courted by Chelsea. And precisely on the Blues track, we never gave it as a result, nor did we talk about visits, unlike other sources. Golovin always closer to Monaco, an operation that explains today's contacts between Chelsea and Pjanic, as we told you.

Seems like we gone straight back to normal. Just missing out on players left right n centre

Not that mate...seems Sarri and the club don't rate him that much...even if we have gone back to normal....not this kind of straight forward deal due to Romans influence and connection...

Maybe the club feels they can pull a big one  outta Savic/Pjanic deal...

Fuck, man! Dirt cheap and absolutely perfect for us.
Looks like it's between Cesc, Barkley, and RLC for that role now. [emoji20]
Fee is rising by the day, it seems. 35m~ for someone that probably won't start makes it less appealing.

We really need to get rid of more of our current midfield options as well.

Another one that Marina has bottled. We seriously have the worst negotiators ever. They always try to low ball people and get burnt every fucken time. I wish we were run by football people not people without a clue about running a football club, we would be at Madrid Bayern level now if we were properly run.

I seriously don't get how Drinkwater is still a Chelsea player. Barely got a sniff last season when options were severely limited. Now we have Jorginho, a fit Barkley, and possibly RLC if Sarri likes him. DD won't get near our XI at this point.
