Must admit, as much as I like him as a player, he will probably get more chances at Juve, I mean if we play 433 or even 343 if Conte stays or whatever he will have Cesc, Kante, Bakayoko, Barkley, Jorginho all to contest with. Even in more attacking positions again Eden, Pedro, Willian, Barkley again... it would be a good move for us to get him I think and gradually work him into the first 11, I think hes more a rotational option at present, an impact sub perhaps but he'd be a good one.

He is probably just on his post World Cup vacay time. You'd think Chelsea and CSKA have an agreed upon price already. Once he is ready to travel he will come. (hopefully)

I think we all assumed it was a done deal becuase of the Russian connection, and that is the way the press spun it too. Huge miss-out if he goes Juve, BUT maybe that will make a grab for Miralem Pjanić a little easier (not that I see us splashing Pjanić level cash as Juve wants £74m for him).Golovin is also 6 years younger ad well, and far less expensive, so frees up £40m to 45m .to help go after RW Leon Bailey and/or a LB like Jose Gaya or Alex Telles (I highly doubt we get Alex Sandro) to rotate with Emerson (the LB rant assumes we sell Alonso to Barca)

I`d like us to sign him but if it fails I`d be happy enough with no further additions to our central midfield positions after Jorginho. getting Golovin would cause us to need to clear some room for him but I`d be fine with letting Sarri work with just Jorginho being added there. is not like we are short with numbers there,just some who underperformed under Conte. I would like to sign Golovin like I said..just my personal choice for plan B would be that and instead invest at other positions.

I would be too if we didn`t have Sarri.if we were going with a different coach because Golovin seems the kind who could play good to great in any system. but as we have Sarri and seen how important Jorginho is to his system. I prefer him..would be great to have both.

I think we are still going to revaluate our signings now that sari and jorginho is coming.

We will probably offload some player but for now our homegrown quota is kinda of tight and considering golovin is not a immediately necessity right now this deal might take some time.

But I do believe we will end up with him and rugani, I'm really on golovin hype train as I think he will bring more class and athleticism to our midfield

I am not so worried if we don't get him. With Jorginho and Kante, Barkley and RLC could come good at "Hamsik position"
