Jack Cork and Michael Mancienne

We currently have 2 top class youngsters around the training ground who have both had extremely impressive loan spells in the last couple of seasons. Michael Mancienne and Jack Cork are both still at Cobham daily while other players (Bertrand, Sahar, Smith ect..) have already gone out on loan..

Both have been taking part in Pre Season friendlies for the reserves, Mancienne did not take part in last nights defeat to Man Utd though. Both of these players are arguably on the first of first team football for us. Mancienne particulary who was involved with all the early first team training sessions but did not travel on the tour with the first.

Both these players would be well sought after for clubs looking for loan signings. Does the fact that neither has gone mean they will be kept around this season and given sporadic chances? Both players are very versatile, with Mancienne being able to play Centre back or Right Back and Cork being able to play Centre Back and Central Midfield.

I very much like the style of both these players and hope they are going to be given their chances this season.

Cork was in the squad a few times last season wasnt he?

Once the cup competitions start I'm sure if they are to be given a chance in the first team its then they will get their chance to shine.

Cork went on the Pre Season tour to America last season then was on loan all season to Scunthorpe.

Both players i think have proved all they need to in the Championship, a loan move to the Prem would be ideal or to stay with us and get some games here and there.

Cork was a gem last season, always impressed me when he played. Would be great to see him in the team.

I agree, these 2 lads are probably closer than anyone to the first team. Other than Sinclair and Di Santo of course who i think can now be classed as first team. Mancienne has also imressed a lot for the England U21's which goes to show he has certainly stepped up a level or 2 recently.
