jason640640 0
not sure if inter is being "cheap". seems everyone is in agreement that carvalho, while great when fit, is fighting some injury issues and deco, with injuries of his own, was an awful bust. seems to figure that inter may have the same views on the matter and therefore want a discounted price. that being said, i'd shop carvalho to other teams/leagues that need a little help on the back line (madrid, ac milan-maybe include in some deal to bring pato?, etc.)? 5354 204
Once Terry is confirmed not leaving, we can probably sell Carvalho....
the wes 7,212
looks like Inter doesn't want Carvalho JOSE MOURINHO has beaten Manchester City to the signing of Lucio. Inter Milan boss Mourinho has landed the Bayern Munich centre-back, who was targetted by City. Brazilian captain Lucio, 31, will sign a three-year deal with the Italian champions. City are desperate to bolster their defence after signing striker Roque Santa Cruz and Carlos Tevez this summer. Eastlands manager Mark Hughes wants to lure Chelsea skipper John Terry to the North West. And he has also set his sights on Everton defender Joleon Lescott. Although it has been very very quiet this summer on talk of players leaving.
Tomlewis7 0
Ricardo Carvalho told he's going nowhere adverts.addToArray("sky", "120x600,160x600"); Chelsea manager Carlo Ancelotti has told Ricardo Carvalho he is an important part of his plans and won't be sold. The defender has been pressing for a move all summer after accusing the club of not supporting him enough during his injuries last season. A move to Inter Milan has fallen through but Ancelotti feels the 31year-old still has a lot to offer and has taken him to the United States for the club's pre-season tour. the wes 7,212
Chelsea defender Ricardo Carvalho has admitted to Sky Sports News he does not know where his future lies. Carvalho has been strongly linked with a move to Serie A giants Inter Milan, where former Chelsea and Porto boss Jose Mourinho currently manages. However, Inter appear unwilling to match the Blues' asking price for a deal involving Carvalho and possibly playmaker Deco. Carvalho, who is currently on Chelsea's pre-season tour of America, has conceded he has considered a move elsewhere. He told Sky Sports News: "What I said before was that I have had four great seasons here and last season wasn't so good, so I wasn't happy and I don't think the club were happy because I didn't play. "At that time I felt like maybe it was time to go. But now I have a contract and I have to be professional and get fit to help my team-mates. "In the future you never know, but at this moment I am focused on getting fit."

LDN Blue 7,903
Inter Milan plan swoop for Chelsea star i think we still need carva atleast another yearI think we can cope to be honest.. The Terry/Carvalho partnership isn't what it used to be anymore, Alex has really stepped up in a Chelsea shirt. If he gets injured then Ivanovic can play as centre back, so can Essien and we can promote Bruma. Might as well get a few million from the sale of Carvalho
chrismada9 1,948
it would be nice to keep him, but he isn't getting any younger. I reckon he will be another one of Ancelotti's let-gos after Joe Cole and Ballack. It is of course a good thing since we're trying to reduce the average age of the club. Kez 2,727
Time for him to go, he's too injury prone getting on and the Terry Alex partnership is working.

He was a bench warmer, we don't want to pay a bench warmer?Carvalho - Not vital, has become quite injury prone. Alex is as good, if not better now, and we have replacements. Who's the other 1? Kostas 1,468
I'd argue that Ballack was somehow vital,I still remember how the team collapsed after he was substituted in the 2nd Inter game. Moreover I'd argue that after this WC Riccy has showed us that he still has it,let's not forget that he was one of the best defenders in Europe and even a worse Carvalho is head and shoulders above most CBs in the league. He actually can run unlike our other 3 Central Backs and if he manages to avoid a few injuries he can be of great use to us.Just raising some points ^
BlueLion. 21,491
We need to keep Carvalho in my opinion, just for one more season. I honestly don't think Bruma isn't ready yet to be playing 20 PL games a season. If Alex or Terry is injured, and Ivanovic is still covering for the injured Bosingwa, we need Carvalho to step in. Put it this way, I wouldn't want Bruma to be marking van Persie in a Chelsea-Arsenal derby for a short while. I have every faith in him but we have to be realistic with his progress. Just look at the amount of games he's played for us in the last two seasons (or lack of them). Sell.
