@DYC. Brother, still think Cahill is better and that Rüdiger is bad? (Even though Gary did have a decent game yesterday tbf.)

Goodness gracious, brother Skip. Never said Rudiger is bad. Said he was solid but far from a top defender. He's been better in recent weeks but he still has a lot to prove. I don't even like saying this about him because he's actually a player who cares about playing for Chels.

And Cahill has been fantastic since his return btw.

Whats saying???

You can see Willi and Luiz are big mates so Willi must be feeding off the negativity Luiz has with Conte.

It  looks like Nevin loves him and BASICALLY saying what alot of us have

Surprised to see nothing on him after Sunday's match. Thought he was a man mountain and completely dominated Rondon physically with each long ball sent to him. Sent quite a few nice long passes too but he's always so good at that. Great start to the season by him. If anyone should feel the threat of AC, it's David.

His pace is such a bonus as well. Don't think there is a faster CB in the league.

I admit it took me a bit to warm to him but he got stronger as the season went on and by the end he had become our strongest most reliable CB  the spot was his.

If we could mix him with Luiz we would have a perfect defender.

Very good in the dressing room too. So stern looking and serious on the pitch but a real character.

Yeah, our best CB imo. Tank and has no problems playing out from the back. He is what we hoped Zouma would become.

100% agree.

He was caught out at Arsenal along with Luiz for a 20 minute period but other than that and the Roma games last season I don't hes really put a foot wrong since moving here. He is an excellent player, quite underrated, obviously there are perhaps better players in some teams but for us he has that good blend of physicality and technical ability (a lot of German CBs do). There was maybe doubts about him in a back 4 but I think he's looked good so far. Rondon is a big player, somebody who on his day can give anybody a hard time and he didn't give him an inch.

For all his good qualities, Rudiger is a bit crap at offensive headers, isn't he? Can never seem to get them on target at the very least!

As is Luiz and Christensen. Pretty frustrating coming form years of Bran, Terry, and Cahill.

Gotta love this guy

I do. He was a great buy. Vastly superior to anything Manure and Arsenal have. I would not trade him for any of the spuds CB's either, although they also are far better than anything Manure and the goonas have.

Hes never really mentioned but hes a big character to have in a team and is that player every pitch and dressing room needs

Rüdiger keeps Hazard on his toes; hangs out with LeBron

That time Hazard took a swing at tough-guy Rüdiger, and it was a good thing
