BERG, Germany (AP) -Germany captain Michael Ballack married his longtime girlfriend in Bavaria on Monday.

The 31-year-old Ballack married Simone Lambe at Schloss Kempfenhausen, a country house in Berg, southwest of Munich.

Mayor Rupert Monn officiated at the ceremony, Monn's office said.

Ballack met Lambe during his time at Kaiserslautern. The couple already have three children - Louis, Emilio and Jordi.

The Chelsea midfielder announced before the European Championship that they planned to get married.

My brother was with his gf for 11 years before they got married last year, its just nice to have a day like that obviously it dont change that much
