I'm calm as usual mate :) But blaming Cesc and his pace for the slow start is just laughable. If Matic had started this game and we played like how we have, our play would have been worse.

No, it's not.

Matic is a different type of player and the others tend to rely less on his attacking capacity than on Cesc's. When Matic is on, he doesn't get the ball as much as Cesc does when he starts. In my opinion, Cesc's qualities recommend him better for when we're chasing our opponents.

I am not saying that he's guilty for this, but I just think that we play better when Matic starts, because Hazard, Willian / Pedro, Moses or Diego have the ball for themselves more.

That was vintage Tony Pulis Stoke there. Pack the box so there's no way through on the ground and lump it up to a giant striker.

Need to get Hazard on to the ball more in space. Way too many long balls for my liking even though some were very effective.

They are a rather poor imitation of the vintage Pulis though. They are pretty terrible defending, even if trying.

Not liking this approach of sitting back and only pressing Stoke when they are near our penalty area. Crouch is playing upfront and there's hardly much pace in that Stoke XI. Should be pushing higher up and get Crouch far away as possible from our penalty area and press them given they have looked rather dodgy.

Willian just doesn't look like he's a capable forward at all.

His brain switches off in the attacking third.

However, last week we criticised him after first half and he really turned up in the second. So let's see if he can improve again.
