Captain Ahmed 528
Coach Antonio Conte has had scouts watch the 19-year-old central midfielder on several occasions this season and Kessie has been nothing short of impressive, scoring five goals and recording two assists in 12 Serie A appearances http://readchelsea.com/2016/11/30/juventus-battle-chelsea-frank-kessie/ http://www.eurosport.com/football/serie-a/2016-2017/arsenal-and-chelsea-seek-kessie_sto5871441/story.shtml http://www.koptalk.com/liverpool-fc-news/liverpool-scouts-franck-kessie/ http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/559409/Arsenal-Man-United-Man-City-Franck-Kessie-Southampton-news

OhForAGreavsie 6,077
I like the look of this kid. He reminds me a bit of Ess. He is very powerful, though not yet quite as powerful as The Bison. On the other hand his technique looks to me to be better than our legend's. If I'm right about that, this balances out the scales a bit. I have to admit though that, coming from me, this isn't as big a compliment as it might be since I never really thought Ess's technical level was top notch. Popular Post! BlueLyon 9,359 Posted December 7, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted December 7, 2016 I have seen too many "next Yaya Toure" flops like Mvila, Song or Kondogbia to make a judgement on Kessie after just one good season. Unarguably sensible view of course although in the end it comes down to judgement.

quickpassnmove 924
I think we're signing Kessie and/or Verratti and maybe a LWB. dunno about CB. Not that 2 Cms are necessary, but sometimes you gotta pounce.
akgw13 867
Don't know much about this guy, but he seems to be a Conte type midfielder. Young, Athletic, Hardworking, Skillful. Sign him up.
LAM09 7,062
Seem enough of him to see he's definitively someone we should be after. I expect to Juve to pose a big threat, though.

He is quite clumsy at times and occasionally misses even the easiest passes. I do like him though.

IF we are going to have a good clearout and get rid of Mikel,RLC then we will have space anyways for couple of CMs. I'm hoping tho we are looking at a good creative one. Hopefully a faster Cescy that can tackle.
OhForAGreavsie 6,077
If we are looking at him, I hope we are looking at him for the first team squad. Kessie is about 50% of my ideal squad upgrade. The player I want might be out there but if he is, I don't know him. I do know what he plays like however. He has the power and athleticism of Kessie along with the two-footed poise and technical quality of Badelj. Sadly, even if we found such a player, we wouldn't get him; Real or Barça would snap him up.

We agree that he has great athleticism but I see from limited footage that he's comfortable operating with both feet and can pass pretty opening balls. Yeah, sometimes very sloppy but the good signs are there.

I cant say that I've seen him performing with that degree of quality often enough to believe that it is his standard level, and not just a flash of peak form that all players exhibit at some moments. I certainly think there is a gulf of quality in possession between Kessie and Badelj. If you haven't already seen these performances, check out the videos. I felt his best display (of these) came against Roma. See what you think: - The Skipper
