LondonsFinest 692
2 scenarios. We either get him or we get someone like Maksimovic or Romagnoli. Simple. Just get it done. We can play against Burnley with this defence, but we'll need someone after deadline day..

RuudiGullit 112
Pescara - Napoli highlights For those who want to see. Koulibaly, in my view, responsible for both goals. First, he loses his man out of sight. Second Pescara goal, he tries to do an N'Golo and steal the ball but it doesn't really work...
Tautvix 1,321
So everything is getting clear there. Kalidou is staying at Napoli. We are not going to sign a defender. Emenalo will blame Conte.

Its all connected with this saga. Journalists in Italy attack him last night because he's head is somewhere else. They sent him a message to fix it or go to Chelsea. the wes 7,211
There is a 90 per cent chance Napoli defender Kalidou Koulibaly will not move to Chelsea, according to Sky in Italy.
the wes 7,211
You would think we would learn are lesson from the stones saga last season are board should ban there selfs from doing deals with Napoli in the future
nono 791
They should start decreasing the bid by 1 million every day.
zekinjo 449
Short version: Vincenzo Morabito, the FIFA agent for the CRC Napoli radio said that even if Chelsea FC arrived to 60m figure SSC Napoli asked for, problems between Maksimovic and Napoli made Koulibaly into a position to extend his contract with possibility to be sold next year if someone pay his clause...... Maybe, if Napoli buy Maksimovic somethings change but right now Koulibaly going nowhere.

Most new signings at Chelsea get around £80K a week at first and more if they extend couple years in. Either way the wage is not the issue here, it's Napoli's unwilligness to sell. With the pay raise they have convinced Koulibaly to stay another year without making a fuss and most likely promised to let him go next year if he wants and a good enough offer comes in. Oh well, time to move on it seems. Cheeky bid for Jose Fonte as a stopgap till next summer? Sent from my ONEPLUS A3003 using Tapatalk I agree with you that wages are not the sole factor, but they must be an important consideration in this affair. I say that because it's not hard to imagine that the desire to increase his earnings is one of Koulibali's motivations in wanting to leave Napoli, if indeed he does want to leave. Neither you nor I have the first clue what most players are paid when first joining Chelsea. It is clear however that all contracts are negotiated on an individual basis. The economics of the Premier League, and the value of Roman's support, if he chooses to give it, mean that Chelsea can make an offer which Napoli can't match. €2 million per year, net, earned in Italy, is a good deal less than €100,000 per week. In fact, it's less than €90,000 per week. We can be sure that Koulibaly would demand a significant increase over and above Napoli's offer, to join The Blues. Napoli hold the player's registration, and that is always an ace but it is certainly not the only card in the deck. If Koulibaly does not blink, if he refuses to sign a new contract, then Napoli have a serious decision to make. Do they hold onto the player and risk his value being damaged by the vagaries of form, and a potential loss of interest from buying clubs who may very well have filled their needs elsewhere by then? It's easy to say that they don't need the money currently, but it's less easy for them to face the prospect of having to sell the player next summer anyway but potentially for a great deal less money. It's a game all sides have to play and an ace, even the ace of trumps, does not always guarantee that you will win.

Lets hope Matic and Oscar arent near each other and Pedros nowhere near the pitch. It's not like he has much choice. The squad is thin and the players you mentioned were signed/destroyed by Mourinho. At this rate it will take Conte a few more transfer windows to make the team look his, atm he's working with scraps and doing a damn good job at it.

But if he plays 1 set of players and sees that a couple just dont work well together would you expect him to pick those same lads the next game? Yes I know Mou did week after weeek month after month and see where that got us (The funniest thing I always hear him saying is when we had the whole Big Pete and Tibo selection thingy. He was asked how big a problem it was deciding who to pick. He said he loved having a problem deciding which player to choose and he would never play favorites! hmmm!) I'm not saying not to play either ever again.Just not on at the same time in those positions. Who knows. MAYBE Oscar just doesn't rest quick enough and cant play 2 games in a row. Played ok at Wet Spam and shite the next game. MAYBE needs to be played every 2 games? I'm all for giving The Don time to get his shit together, build a team from the ground up. But do you think the people who matter would? 1/2 the people on here want his balls already ffs! Real shame K2 deal looks fucked!
RuudiGullit 112
I got a Senegalese friend who sends me mails but doesn't know much English so I always use Google Translate to mail him back. He's a football fan aswell. So I wanted to talk with him about this Koulibaly transfersaga. When I started to type, I didn't notice the translator was still on Senegalese to English, so when I was done typing, the only words that were translated from Senegalese to English were Kalidou Koulibaly to John Stones and Napoli to Everton. Aurelio De Laurentiis was translated to old cunt. Please move on, Chelsea. This is last year's window all over again. We ended 10th last season with the same players. TENTH. And you had a whole fucking year to target new defenders. And now, 10(!) days before the end of the transfer window we still got NO new defenders and we still got deadwood in the team. The board is as incompetent as as Roy Hodgson was as England manager. Shame on you, Chelsea Football Club for not showing the fans the ambition and player names we deserve.
