Chelsea Legend 11 4,062
Honestly. I got a boner watching Conte's 4-2-4 today!!! My word did that ever look formidable and effective! I'm loving what I'm seeing from him so far. cchuka, kellzfresh and Green Lantern18

I wish I knew the context of those Aina comments. If he singled the guy on his own accord or if he was specifically asked about the kid Its gets harder with every passing day, its harder than trying to give up the fags. petre.ispirescu 4,928
He is a handsome motherfucker (no homo!), comes with new tactics and a new mentality at this club and most importantly for me - likes to command everything from the sidelines and never stops shouting. Happy days. Green Lantern18

Blue Gino 377
Everything is fresh and youth getting their chances but I'll hold back the love until the regular season kicks off and these same impressive youths are still here and places are given to those who earned it not because of their friggin names and wages. Blue_Fox_ 2,086
"Before the game I asked my players that after a week of strong work, physically and tactically, I wanted to see the improvement in our idea of football. I received a good answer. I know we can improve, I know we must improve, but we are at the beginning of the season. We are working very hard. Every day we have two very hard training sessions." "I saw a lot of good things today and also situations we can improve. That's normal. It was nice to win, it's important to have this habit for everyone's mentality despite many players being very tired after the training sessions. I'm also happy because I saw a good attitude." I like Conte's words so far, seems very deep in what he wants and I like how keen he spoke of seeing Mitsyi on the pitch even though he only trained a day or so. Unionjack 7,531
Happy about the progress the lads have made and when the rest of the team start then we can begin doing training properly. But we are going to get hammered with our back like even with Ola looking like a good prospect. We need to shell out for what we want/need like we paid over for Kante. That corner yesterday was shocking. The Austrian dude alone in the midst of our box, I wanted to cry. Unionjack and Barbara

superfrank8 23
Think the double training sessions are just for pre-season to get the players back into shape as soon as possible. Doing them after the season starts could result in more injuries. Barbara and Fernando

Anway, the off season is for building the athletic side of the sport and then the actual season is for maintaining that fitness and making sure the recovery is there throughout the campaign. Put another way, pre season is for getting fit and improving (if possible) to a new level of fitness and then the season is about maintaining that level. He has however always done double training sessions at pre-season, also with Juve. As the poster above says, this is really not that unusual for any clubs.
