Unionjack 7,531
Reminds me of when Diego joined us about going into battle.. The Italian manager says he’s setting his sights on winning the tittle, but admits he needs to continue to work hard to win every game and battle until the end. “When you win a game during the championship, you win a battle. One battle. When you win a trophy, you win the war. I like this. I love to win the war,” Conte said in his pre-match press conference before facing Middlesbrough on Sunday afternoon. “But, for sure, we know that this championship is very difficult because there are a lot of good teams. But, I repeat, we are working very hard to fight with this team until the end. To win the war, it’s important also to win the battles during the championship. One’s a consequence of the other.” Fernando, kellzfresh and 11Drogba

Popular Post! Blue Armour 4,449 Posted November 20, 2016 Popular Post! Share Posted November 20, 2016 Its been said plenty of times of late, but he has truly got us playing like a team again. Too often in recent seasons, you turn on the telly to see whether Hazard can turn on the style, or if we could get the odd goal from a set-piece, or who could come off the bench to turn around the game.....Now you see that there's a lot more combinations going on, Alonso, Matic and Hazard on on side, Pedro, Kante, Azpi and Moses on the other....And in defense you have Cahill and Luiz providing cover for our full-backs.....There just seems to be a better game-plan with players like Pedro much more confident in their decision making as a result. Jase 43,479
I guess if any manager is going to outwit Conte's 3-4-3, it would be Pochettino or Guardiola or maybe even both! Big tactical test for Conte after the failures against Liverpool and Arsenal. TheIceMan

It's too big 625
If Koeman, Ranieri and Mourinho couldn't outwit Conte, what's to say "no plan B" Pochettino will? Pep is without doubt going to come with a solid plan though, but maybe, just maybe people have underestimated just how tactically astute Conte is. I do, however, feel that both Spurs and City will come to press us as intently as they can, which could force us into making mistakes. Heisenberg 1,824
Only Pep can really find a solution to this 343, it wont mean that Conte knows Pep flaws, and Pep flaws are way more obvious than Conte's.

One thing to consider is the Spurs have a very important away game vs Monaco on Tuesday, its pretty much a must win so you can bet they will be employing a high press in that one. They don't really have the squad to compete on both fronts so I would imagine they press against Monaco and switch to 3-4-3 against us on saturday. They are good managers but think you might have overestimated Koeman, Ranieri and Mourinho (we should know best about him!). Having no 'Plan B' is different from having the ability to outwit a manager. And no one is underestimating Conte's tactical acumen, but merely acknowledging that someone is going to ask serious questions about us and our 3-4-3 soon and it might just happen in 1/2 or next 2 games. The pressing bit is interesting - Boro did that yesterday and we didn't manage it very well (probably not helped by players being tired after the international break). Certainly need to improve on that against Spurs and City and not give the ball away so cheaply like against Boro. Blue-in-me-Veins

Ive read that the best formation to play against a 3-4-3 is Shitys 4-3-3. Do we reckon Conte will stick to it or change?
