This little guy Imbula should be in the team in blue instead of those muppets Matic, Mikel or Oscar. It is not that this forum had imbula on its screens for ages now. Why can't the fucking board see that this kind of mobile, combative, yet technically gifted DMs is what we need in modern football?

 

As for the game the usual stuff when being refereed by Clattenburg. Been the better team throughout but let down by his calls. Stoke still are a fine team, too. Some great football from them and resilience in defence. Wollscheid was a wall today.

 

From us it was a below-par performance. clearly brakes on because of the CL tie. However, I can't see us progressing since we will definitely concede at least once. But back to this game. Mikel, Matic, Ivanovic, Remy, Willian and Oscar were their usual average selves whilst Traore scored an amazing goal. Hazard, Courtois can really do better, Azpi and Cahill were solid.

Yeah but the one and only goal we did concede was largely his mistake. He punched the ball back directly into the danger zone - something which he has a knack for.

Yep; both were almost equally at fault for the goal. Willian is a least somewhat understandable, as he beats his man more often than not in those situations, but Courtois has always displayed a worrying tendency to parry balls/shots back into the danger-zone (even when on top form); it's definitely something he needs to work on. Anyway, it was a shame for them both, because aside from this they were probably two of our better players today. Costly errors are costly errors, though.

Matic remains THE huge concern, however (moreso than Hazard); he's just completely lost in this team at the moment.

Yet another dispicable, disgraceful, abysmal and shameful show-up by our lot, at a time where points are vital to push for European places!

Matic and Oscar were atrocious again! I really hope they both get sold after this season.. those two continue to get on my nerves!

Ruben didn't particularly have a good game either, but there were reasons for this. He didn't have enough time as a sub to really pick us up, and while Stoke were dominating us everywhere. Particularly Imbula, he was impeccable! What an absolute steal he was for them!

After today, that's the first time Stoke have won any point at Stamford Bridge, and now Hiddink has gone 12 games unbeaten domestically, but too many of those games are draws and that's what's slowing everything down! Unless our European spirit is hotter than our domestic one, I don't see us overturning our 2-1 deficit against PSG, and I most certainly don't see us getting into Europe next season if we keep playing like this!

Agree with criticism of Oscar once again. He's simply not good enough. Doesn't do any one thing exceptionally well. He's just decent at everything and nothing more. Shows a flash of class once every 10 matches. 

We got into so many fantastic positions around their box but failed over and over without having a focal point to score. If Diego played I think we'd have scored more.

Surely, surely we have to be in for Imbula? That was a masterful performance from him. He utterly dominated us and is a tank! Forget Nainggolan, forget Vidal. Get this kid! Only just turned 23 as well.

• Traore is a SERIOUS talent. Needs to be given a major run in the side. 
• Willian was excellent, some questionable decision-making but by far our most inventive player.
• 40 points! At least we're not getting relegated.

Negatives:

 

• Courtois is terrible at the minute and should be dropped immediately, he is making some very, very poor mistakes on a consistent basis.
• Matic and Oscar need to be sold in the next window, they are stealing a living.
• Remy is ABYSMAL. If Falcao is fit, he should be ahead of him in the pecking order.
• We look useless in the centre without Cesc.
• Guus' substitutions were HORRIBLE and that, along with shocking officiating, has cost us two points which now means our chances of UCL qualification are officially OVER, and even finishing 5th/6th for the Europa League looks difficult - we're now 7 points behind United, who have a game in hand on us, too.

1) I thought Courtois made some great saves to be honest. Regardless of his mistakes. Technically, it's not ALL his fault. The entire backline should be doing their job. Either that or there's just no presence from Terry to instruct our players.

2) I forgot Falcao was even still in the side! Also what about Pato?? What was the point in even loaning him if we're not even going to use him??
