Reddish-Blue 2,509
hes no good for chelsea then we need an out and out striker who wants to score instead of fighting like costa does Why not sign him as depth? Another goalscorer would be handy considering neither Costa or Hazard have found their scoring touch this season

Spike 12,049
Despite everything; he has talent and has shown it in the past. If the transfer isn't that pricey surely he is worth a chance? He couldn't be worse than Falcao and Costa are at the moment. His injuries are overblown right now. He has played 150 matches in the last three years. That is impressive. @Rmpr, I trust you've seen him a lot in Brazil? Is he rubbish? Is he still a partier?
Henrique 9,133
http://espn.uol.com.br/post/570191_chelsea-perto-de-contratar-pato Chelsea close to complete Pato deal.

ChelseaFanUK 1,014
Meh, no worse than Falcao right now.  Berahino has shite attitude and looked a tad chubby last night, and i dont think he is Chelsea standard at the moment.  Adebayor, no thanks.  Vardy good finisher but wouldnt pay £30m based on a good run of 11 games in a row scoring.  Bacca Id have taken over them all, if the fee was £20m or less.  And if I really wanted to go balls deep and just chance my arm, in desperation, which this is at the moment, Id have slapped £40m on PSG desk for Cavani
Jase 43,479
Our obsession with washed-up strikers. Torres, Falcao, Pato. There's something deeply wrong with this club.

He has stayed relatively injury free lately, also. A gamble but not as big as others.

I dont think the article mentioned loan or permanent.  Just said his agent Gilmar Veloz is sorting it, and it is close. Pinch of salt but to know the figures and stuff must have some info
Spike 12,049
Well if what rmpr said is true (and I trust his judgement fully) and he is  more of a wide forward than a striker; I would be over the moon to see him playing out on the right over Pedro.

Maybe but it's another risky buy, isn't it? Haven't we had enough with such deals in the past already? Why are we putting ourselves in another similar situation? Why can't the club just get someone who is actually good? If we are looking at a short term solution, I would rather see us play the youth and build for the future. Barely have anything left to play for this season anyway.
