firejose 9
We need to lose this one. And try to win the EL.
CHOULO19 24,332
People, we just lost at home to Bournemouth. What on earth makes you think we have a realistic chance of winning the Europa League?!

Changingman_2000 876
Big week ahead, Porto and then Leicester away. Either two positive results have our players roaring back into form. Or we get bent over and royally arse fucked on both occasions, which will surely signal the end for the Special One.

Kieran. 6,317
You have to admit it would be sweet beating any English team in the final, should we end up in the Europa League.

What on earth makes you think we have a realistic chance of winning the Europa League?! any half decent manager, even someone like brendan rodgers, will be able to do that with this squad. Fulham Broadway 17,317
The underperforming players strangely raise their game in European ties.We would see a different approach in the europa, and tomorrow as well.

What on earth makes you think we have a realistic chance of winning the Europa League?! Because most likely we'll be under a different manager.Thats why people have this confidence of winning the Europa league. And I can understand that thought process as well too. CHOULO19 24,332
Well we definitely have a better chance of winning it then getting top 4 or winning the CL that's for sure.At the moment, I would genuinely fancy our chances more against a Bayern where we'd have to sit back a la 2012 than against a EL team. Not saying we can replicate 2012, but I think our chance of winning the EL where motivation would be considerably less are even worse.because we have to be good at something! How about Ballet dancing then? I'd pay to see JT in a pink skirt

Fulham Broadway 17,317
Being in europe next year could be a disaster, we need to finish around mid table, shift out some of the over paid dross and go about rebuilding with a young hungry passionate side with a homegrown spine

We brought them in because we wanted to secure top 4 which was still an option at the time. Hiddink was brought in because we could still have won the league. I dont think it is, im going to assume you do. It basically boils down to, do I/you think turning around league form or winning the Europa league are of the same difficulty. I think it is, considering this squad ismore talented than the one that won Europa in 2013, and were champions of the PL just last season. And you can throw in our great success with interim managers as well.
