have never seen this kind of slump before really, to be honest. Has anybody else seen it, around Europe, and what precisely reasons were given ?

But your missing the point, the manager can't be to blame for poor defending or not being able to hit the net, yes he is in charge of who plays and our formation but come on they are paid £200,000+ a week to play football and to do their job, that's 1 game a week (minus cup games) with training. If they are good at training and poor on the pitch they need less training or something...

If we was paid £100,000 or even 5,000 a week I'm sure we can do better and do our jobs.

I have seen this before, not necessarily in football, but if a manager creates a hostile environment, where everybody is blamed for everything except of course the manager him/herself, performance slumps big time. The manager can be charismatic, even brilliant in his/her field, but the behavior and management style eventually bites back, no matter how much individuals in the team are paid. The only action is to get rid of the manager asap, and usually it will take time to restore trust within the team.

not really since you try and prove them wrong.. for example Costa hasn't gone overboard since he's back from the ban..

"Absolutely mortified" is not enough to explain this consistent Chelsea slump this season! I don't get what's happened to us, I really don't! How do you go from top flight champions outright, to relegation candidates in 5 months??

Last season, we were so untouchable, we played like we wanted to win, and we had such flawless tactics that worked all the time!

Right now we look like a completely bland, stale, predictable and overall abysmal squad of players who have completely lost all their form!

Hazard was my favourite player last season! Now he's dogshit!

Matic was the Premier League's most effortless CDM and you could rely on him all the time. Now he's dogshit!

Fabregas had a great start to last season, but ever since January 2015 he's been rolling down a shit slide, and he is now at his all time lowest!

I'd say something like "sack Jose because I've had enough now", but I'd be seen as a thoughtless fan who doesn't read other people's posts... but for the sake and health of this club, it has to do what's right.

I love Jose, but his whining mouth has cost us not only the title, but the fact that our form is so bad that it's even threatening to kick us out of the Premier League makes me wonder if such an idea isn't a bad one.

What happens if Jose does get sacked though? Is it the manager revolving door all over again? I suppose maybe we'd have to try and convince King Carlo to reconsider his cameo role in the new Star Trek film! Would rather see him turn Chelsea's season around!

There was Dortmund last year. And in Belgium this year we have Standard Liege, who normally should be title contenders (or close to it) but who are this year bottom of the table with no improvement in sight either (and that is after changing the manager).

Dortmund sold Levandowski.

Any other reasons for those rapid declines ?

MU 13-14 was also one such - in their case there were many aging players I think.

MU 13-14 is the easiest to explain, it doesn't even need explaining. However whatever is happening to us is simply baffling, I don't think anybody really knows.

Toys get thrown out the pram on here, every time we lose. Then as soon as we win they are all superstars again.

Matic, his first yellow card was a deliberate foul, but a tactical foul. "Taking one for the team" job. But after that he should have really known to keep the head down.

Fabs offside goal was borderline if offside at all.

In Jan we need a couple of fresh faces that can actually make an impact. No panic buys. No flops (Salah, Cuad, probably Baba). Guys that will actually get in the starting line up week in week out. Varane.... If there was any truth in the attempted Pogba signing he'll fit nicely into the hold.

All the noise about Hazard wanting to go to Madrid... if we are in danger of losing anybody to the big 2 in Spain, it'll be Willian.

IMO we have had three major problems today:

1. Our defense. Zouma is not a right-back and Diego Costa has had a big mistake in the first goal.

2. Matic has had a totally unrecognizable attitude in a player like him, with his experience and tactical intelligence. IMO the second yellow card was totally absurd and he had to have been smarter.

3. Our big problem. We do not have a N.10 to connect our midfield and Diego Costa. We played like a broken team in the creation of game
and we continually get stuck on the pitch. We need a playmaker to add speed to our ball movement and to connect our midfield with Diego Costa and Eden Hazard.
To change this we can do several things.

1. Defense. Change everything and start a revolution in thinking about the future Azpilicueta - Zouma - Cahill - Baba. Each in their proper place without experiments.

2. Add creative players like Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Oscar or Pedro in our midfield.

3. Diego has to participate more in the collective game. IMO Diego is the best forward in the world, but he has to forget the silly fights and help our midfielders.

4. Hazard must change his behavior radically. Jose can not be the only guilty in, the description of our problems. Hazard has to assume their own mistakes and stop blaming others for their poor performance.
Jose is doing their approaches terribly wrong, but the players also have their own responsibility and they have to change their mind. Jose and the players have to change their mind of an fully radically mode.
By the way, this situation is maddening...

Mate - so what you are saying is

Jose needs to manage like a different manager :)

Isn't that what most of us are saying? But guess what he will not. That's the simple answer

Hence me saying if Jose won't change - then he needs to be changed

As soon as Zouma was announced as RB I knew today would be a clusterfuck and I decided to spend my well earned weekend doing something to make me happy - that used to be watching Chelsea on any stream I could get, but not today.

I'm sick and tired of the ridiculous tactics and failure to address glaring issues that even Stevie fucking Wonder can see...

Hi friend!

Totally agree with you.

Jose is out of himself right now and he has to make a radical change in his mind. Jose has forgotten coaching and now he is only focused on defending against the attacks of the press as his big obsession.

Since the season started all the approaches developed by Jose have been wrong.

Jose is the best coach I've seen doing approaches in big games. But since he abandoned Real Madrid IMO Jose has lost the motivation to continue being a manager and now he is out of himself and obsessed with vindicate himself as the "bus manager".

I still defend Jose because I think the whole club is in a similar situation. We have an atmosphere of generalized paroxysms which affects all the world, both the players and Jose.

That's why I think what we have to do is restart our mind and start from 0. IMO if we look for another coach that will not fix our problems. We have a mental block and another manager would not change our situation. But all of us together. And everyone has to take responsibility for their own mistakes and make a strong change of attitude. Jose is guilty, but other players are also guilty.

Jose does not have to be another manager, Jose must be the manager that he has traditionally been and regain confidence in himself. Forgetting some stupid "mind games" and returning to be a manager with a winning mentality forgetting the conservative approaches.

Regards.

Not so much this season so far. We've lost 5 and including other comps won 5 so less chance of thinking their superstars so far lol.

Just crazy how it's changed so quickly.

Just seen what Matic done on MOTD. What can his explanation be? Someone mentioned it was like he almost done it on purpose. It literally looked like he did. Was a ridiculous thing to do and Azpi had it covered anyway. Mind boggling. Feels so awful being a Chelsea fan right now.
