I don't believe there's a conspiracy against Chelsea. Mourinho loves to create a siege mentality in his teams wherever he goes. It's his method of operation and he's been doing it for years. Refs are cowards and are afraid to make big calls these days. City were denied a penalty against Southampton and so were we; but they won and we didn't. They got screwed over by the refs again against Hull but it actually cost them that time. Is there a conspiracy against City? No, just shitty refereeing. And let's not not forget the match against Liverpool where we were lucky to come away with the win after the Cahill handball was "missed" by the ref.

I watched the Newcastle vs Southampton match a couple weeks ago and in the dying minutes Newcastle were denied a penalty when a SH player handled in the box. The ref saw it but was too scared to make the call. No conspiracy just shameful officiating.

People say "oh but look at what happened to Diego he got banned but Aguero didn't!" Was it unfair? Yea, but there's something called the Halo effect and sometimes punishments are dished out based on perception. Diego is a hardened roughhouser and Aguero is a saint by comparison. And it plays a part in everything, whether it's the media, fans or the officials.

How is that an agenda against Mourinho? He himself said that the Premier League is better with him and that's why the journalists took that up as a debate.

If you read through the views, you'll find that most of them like to have Mourinho in the league. But even if they don't, there will always be people who dislike Mourinho. No humans are well liked by everyone anyway.

Sorry to not answer you before, I had not read your post so far. Apologies.

I also thought it was insurmountable the attack of the Spanish press sensationalism against Mourinho, but seeing the sensationalist / disgusting attitude of the British press against Jose sport, I start to wonder what is the worst press.

The case of Spain is more complex because Mourinho was the coach of Real Madrid againts Guardiola`s which was formed by the majority of players that formed the Spanish team that won the European Championship and the World Cup. So many journalist attacked Jose because he ended with the hegemony of Barcelona in Spain and I was the first coach who win Guardiola`s Barcelona and he sank to Spanish players like Xavi, Pique and Busquets. Therefore, journalists saw in Mourinho a danger to the Spanish team.

But there were more important factors and is related to xenophobia in Spain against the Portuguese. For historical reasons, the Spanish and Portuguese nationalist have always been at odds, and many journalists used Jose as an excuse to criticize Portugal.

In Spain there are many of us who takes this as a joke (myself for example not waste my time to attack Portuguese or defend Spaniard, simply I enjoy the live), but other people in Spain are obsessed with the history of Spain and xenophobia attacks.

Many Spanish journalists made impossible the life of Jose and his family in Spain. With a totally unacceptable daily persecution.

For example, the newspaper AS public the training schedules of the Jose`s son, just so people could go to insult and threaten Jose`s child. Even Jose had to hire security for his child. It was embarrassing. In addition, sports newspapers published photos of the daughter of Jose, but Jose asked to let her in peace

The Spanish sports press / journalist are miserable

In addition, the Spanish journalists accused Jose of violent coach, defensive coach, they said that their players were indoctrinated to attack rivals ... In Spain recently has died a violent / radical fan near the stadium of Atletico Madrid in a battle between skinheads, and many journalists have said that this was the legacy of violence by Mourinho. SHAMEFUL

I think Jose has seen that the English press has begun to use the same strategy of the Spanish press, and I think Jose has decided to stop these attacks and dealing with the press before these attacks end up in a situation like him paranoid happened in Spain.

I have said that Jose is losing its ironic smile perhaps because he feels totally misunderstood. Jose is already a legend in the Premier League, and many fans will respect him as a legend, but journalists and FA still insist attack him.

I think he feels misunderstood and I think the best thing we can all do is to support him. Jose is one of us and we have to support him unconditionally.

While, I can't really go as in-depth as the brilliant Supporter has done, I'm not Spanish and my understanding of the language is pretty rudimentary, there is a pretty good movie on Youtube that explains Mourinho's tumultuous relationship with the press in Spain. It's long, but it's pretty interesting.

Mourinho's offence? A sarcastic post match interview on how the obviously biased officiating in our title run-in last season ended our titles hopes.

Would Redknapp ever have spoken that way about Sir Alex Ferguson? No. Or even any ordinary British manager? Somehow I doubt it. It's amazing, brilliant, magnificent, excellent, Splendid, tremendous, extraordinary, fantastic and wonderful video that perfectly sums up the persecution that Jose suffered in Spain. A daily disgusting attack against him professionally and personally. It makes me feel ashamed to see the attack suffered by Jose each day in Spain. This attack was not football, this attack was an attack of xenophobia, intolerance and envy.

I personally suffered too much for this persecution which Jose lived in Spain, not only for the football coach, also by the person. Absolutely disgusting.

I used to go to Santiago Bernabeu since childhood because my father and my brother are fans of Real Madrid, but practically I did not want to return to the stadium of Real Madrid by the attitude of the people against Jose.

Jose is now happy in London, he and his family in a club at the height of his coach, with supporters who respect him and where Jose has found the respect he deserves.
