MrBlueGuy 1,552
Look like the way to stop us is full on bus parking, not much different from last season. It is not his fault though, we need a Messi/CR7 in games like this to bail us out like Madrid/Barca got. Hazard should have scored and it would have been so much different.Expect more dropped points against QPR away, Sunderland at home and Arsena;/Spurs away at the minimum. BlueLyon 9,359
I thought he did very well today. The team was setup excellently as is evident by how well we started the match, then we came out from HT well on top and creating chances and finally the subs he made were all brilliant and helped us create chances and get back into the match despite Newcastle have all of the their players around their own box.No complaints whatsoever from me. He did his job perfectly and can't be held accountable for the players failing to score the chances created.Funny thing is, that was EXATLY the problem, you don't even need to watch the match to know. Our finishing and decision making in the final third was terrible and Newcastle got very lucky on several occasions. He did well picking the team for today, but made mistakes for not rotating in previous weeks. As for missed chances goes, Willian is the kind of player I dont know why is so wanted here. He is fantastic runner and hard worker, but he is also a winger and he doesnt do his job. He fucks up attacks with his bad shots or wrong decisions. Yet he is appreciated for his hard work. But everyone forgets he is winger, and you have two kinds of wingers; a direct one who dribbles and scores goals and sets them up with good passes i.e. Sanchez or Di Maria. And then you have passive wingers who run run run wide and create width, make space and finish of with a good cross like Candreva. Willian is neither. He works his ass off but if we had efficient winger instead of him, we would have 5/10 more goals. And how come Mou say that we were team who wanted to win but got unlucky? Did Newcastle wanted to lose and still scored 2 goals or what? He should say its our fault. Nufc were bit lucky with goals, but we were not efficient because we were tired. As for sunderland game goes, it was completely Mou fault because we didnt play wide enough. couris and The Chels

RoyalBlues 4,050
Final whistle verdict: We tried everything Jose Mourinho felt we were unlucky to be beaten 2-1 by Newcastle United at St James’ Park. The Blues had looked the more dangerous of the two sides for much of the game, but two Papiss Cisse goals, scored in the space of 11 second-half minutes, left us with too much to do.Substitute Didier Drogba reduced the deficit seven minutes from time when he headed home a Cesc Fabregas free-kick and although we pressed for what would have been a deserved equaliser during the closing stages we were unable to find the breakthrough.‘We were unlucky,’ said Mourinho. ‘The best team lost, the team that tried to win lost, but that’s football.‘What’s important is that it’s the kind of defeat which is easy to accept. I don’t like to lose when the referee isn’t good and I blame him, which isn’t the case. He was very good and had no influence on the result. I don’t like to lose and blame my players because they were complacent, didn’t play, didn’t produce or the attitude wasn’t good, that’s not the case, so I’m happy about that.‘We were unlucky, we didn’t score goals when we could have and we conceded the only times they crossed the midfield line, but that’s football and I accept it. We were unlucky, that’s crystal clear, one day we will be lucky.’The Blues boss said he expected Newcastle to set up defensively‘Yes, and I won’t criticise them for that, no way. They can do what they want but to play that way and win you need luck, which they had. I have no problem with that.‘My players tried everything. When they lost the mental balance to play good football we changed strategy and played direct. We caused them problems with that and almost got a point, which is the minimum we deserved. We tried everything and I have no complaints.’http://www.chelseafc.com/news/latest-news/2014/12/final-whistle-verdict.html

hudagph 1
Mourinho failed to win anything his last year in Real Madrid and took over Chelsea who won the Europa League title then failed to win anything in four competitions. Chelsea are currently one of 3 unbeaten teams in Europe but will Mourinho and Chelsea somehow blow it all in the end?

Jase 43,479
He won the supercup in his last season at Madrid. To be honest, I don't think that really counts as winning a trophy. Supercup matches are pretty much glorified friendlies and they are played before the season even starts.

But you're right, it isn't a big trophy but still better than "nothing".
kellzfresh 7,229
I think we've lost that massive attack style we used at the beginning of the season. We just outscored the opponent 3-1 or 4-2 like Madrid did during Mourinho's spell there. We complained that courtois couldn't keep a clean sheet like cech but we actually sacrificed the defense for all out attacking like against Everton, Burnley and Swansea. Infact I remember all of the opponents having so much chances but we had more quality up front. But now we're playing a more controlled game where we are more solid in defense and creating enough chances for only 2 goals per match but that means that if the new additions of Fabregas and Costa's quality doesn't deliver, we look like last season. I think we should go all out again like the beginning of the season because I don't think the smaller teams have what it takes to score 3 goals against us, so us scoring 3 or more guarantees us the win. It could be because of fatigue that slowed down the intensity of our attacking too but I've noticed a drop in chances created since the manutd game.
