The Mourinho Thread

(funny, that would include TOPTB too since he criticised Mourinho about the Lukaku loan earlier in the season - what a conundrum) is backing us not to win the title next season. Again, read that out loud and realise how stupid it sounds.

Measured criticism. You understand that right?

For years fans have moaned about the lack of stability and wanting the club to be patient with the right manager, and then when it actually comes time to do that people start questioning him. This is when support actually matters. This is when a bit of faith is actually needed. Not the relentless criticism and 'why can't we break down packed defences' shit, the recriminations about selling Mata (who is just lighting up Old Trafford) and the same old lamentations.

You know......it's one thing to be a hypocrite, it's even more pitiful to be a hypocrite on a moral high ground. You lost every bit of credibility to me the moment you started bashing members for something you, my brotha, routinely did for a period of time.

December 8th, shortly after Everton played Arsenal at Emirates, you constantly were slating Mourinho, not so dissimilarly from the way a few have - a few that you're now trying vilify and malign. And it wasn't just a one-off comment either, you did it routinely for a period of time. The difference is that no one persecuted you. No one called you fickle. No called you a glory hunter. No one questioned you allegiances as a supporter.

Oh no, I lost credibility to you. I think I'll survive.

As for me criticising Jose, I absolutely hold my hands up. I got frustrated with a few things and I did have reservations, but I'm happy to hold my hands up and say I was wrong. I still think the Lukaku loan deal was the wrong choice but as the full story of that seems to be emerging I again think I was presumptuous.

Nice research there though love. :D One example clearly means I'm the same as lionsden and excalibur, who you so benevolently defended in no way simply to satiate whatever agenda you have on here.

They all have their opinions. So what if they don't fancy Mourinho as a manager? Doesn't mean that they don't support the club or that they don't believe we can win anything next year.

It's stupid because you're saying that anyone that criticises Mourinho for what he's done in certain aspects this season (funny, that would include TOPTB too since he criticised Mourinho about the Lukaku loan earlier in the season - what a conundrum) is backing us not to win the title next season. Again, read that out loud and realise how stupid it sounds.

Mourinho would be the perfect Manager for italy and England NT.

Time to go back to inter and play as you like.

these are just a few masterpieces that i got 1 page after the game ended. if i delve further i am sure i ll get many more gems.

what baffles me is this, how are the people who are supporting the club, not supposting jose. this is his 2nd stint here which shows he has the full trust and belief of our owner and board. jose is still our manager despite being trophyless, which means we have accomplished all we set out to do in the season, remember carlo getting the sack after a trophlyless season!!!

he is not named as an interim manager. even in his first interview, he talked about long time stability. of having a base and an identity. so in short the club has given him the responsibility of taking us ahead for the foreseeable future.

also, there is a difference with questioning a decision that jose made and continously idioticly, slating him. posting articles from dailymail which slate him. what good are those? what do those posters mean to accomplish by posting that??!!! why are those posters ONLY posting when the club fails. i dont remember them doing it when we were 9 points ahead of city before the villa game. they may not be "backing" chelsea to fail, but they sure do derive a LOT of pleasure from our "failure". the best way to explain would be that these posters will actually want us to fail so that they can say "i told u so" and fulfil their anti-jose propaganda rather than have the team win.

Research? None at all darling.

And likewise I'm sure the rest of us will live our lives just fine despite your almighty wrath & disapproval. It'll be hard, but the sun will come out and I'll learn to be happy again.

Enjoy the power trip. :tophat:

I just had a trawl back through the posts you mentioned there Dee. Took me a while to find what page December 8th was (about 525 apparently) so god knows how long you spent going through posts on here to find that or was it already written down in your notes?

I tell you what - we could've used that type of commitment on the pitch in the first-half. Fantastic workrate there fatal attraction.

Anyway, I was critical. I was frustrated and it's very easy to be lazy and impatient at those points and simply criticise the team. I was wrong and I'll hold my hands up. But you said I 'routinely' did it for a period of time. Here's what I actually posted on December 9th...

I still believe that Mourinho is the right guy for us and that we have to stick with him and give him total support, but I'll admit I'm concerned about the lack of consistency. It's not just him that I'm worried about, but everyone at the top of this club. I simply don't know what it is we're trying to do.

That was a tough moment for us and we were just building momentum and becoming the team Jose started to want us to be.

I also broke up my routine of bashing him to say this...

He's made mistakes but I still don't want anyone else in charge of us....I'm just impatient to see something taking shape. He just needs to get that one midfielder and I think the team will find some consistency. Maybe we are missing Oscar more than I thought because we looked like two seperate parts on Saturday (defence and attack), something that happened far too often last season.

So you can take a few posts made in anger and frustration and paint me out to be a serial moaner on the scale of lionsden and mr excalibur safe in the knowledge that there are very few members of this forum so tedious and stalkerish to actually fact-check your accusations but at least try and be measured in your criticism of me. Cheers deary. ;)

Right....so you just happened to know that 200 pages ago I grew frustrated for maybe a day and had a pop at Jose, before actually calming down the next day and backing him.

Gotta say babe, I'm kinda blushing right now

Clearly that makes me a hypocrite for criticising people who constantly moan day in and day out....

Money is key to our success. I wish it wasn't like that, but it is.

We need quality players in key positions and we're probably going to need to buy them. There's a reason there's a whole section dedicated to transfers on every single football forum.

So we shouldn't use young players and we shouldn't talk so much about money. Where are we getting these new players from then?

Is there a part of Stamford Bridge they we've all collectively forgotten about which contains world-class footballers. Would you like me to check in the toilet stalls next time I go, or maybe put up a few posters to raise awareness or this careless mistake?

Because you'll never win anything with kids (despite us having plenty of experience throughout the squad).

So from moaning about us talking about money and not relying on inexperienced youths, you actually concede that keeping a 19 year old striker who could cost up to £18 million 'is a plan'?

We should have gotten someone else....so in this case money was the key and we should've bought a new one?

The problem is that this 'new philosphy' isn't apparent on the pitch. In fact the new philosphy looks an awful lot like the old philosophy under Rafa with a few minor tweaks.

All this talk about eggs and he brings in a 32 year old Eto'o and lets Lukaku go. He says we are in trouble, then denies he said it.

The fact is we're incredibly lucky that the league is as weak as I can remember it being and our Champions League group was the easiest one. We've been lucky to get a point at home to West Brom and not see it go the way of the Stoke game.

The youth situation has actually regressed from last year as well. In so many facets Jose has underwhelmed, but he still needs time.

Yes. Do you?

Just let it be, Skipper. Don't go back and forth with these guys with misplaced sense of entitlement (in the case of "the only place to be") and follower mentality {wow} (in the case of "didier forever"). It's pointless and a complete waste of time. Most of the people here at TalkChelsea know you are one of its most objective and rational members.

Yes, because all I do on here is slate the team (I've said nothing remotely negative about anyone else), and because I've never been to the Bridge or away games multiple times in my life  (in fact, I've got tickets to Cardiff away next week). Get off your fucking high horse mate. Who the fuck do you think you are?

See what I mean? Saying anything remotely negative about Mourinho now equals to slating the club to some. Fan-fucking-tastic.

This has to be one of the worst posts I've ever read on here. You don't know anything about me or any of those that you've mentioned to come up with stupid shit like that. Get off your fucking pedestal and stop thinking you're some god on TC because you go watch a few games. Stupidity.

I don't know why you lot still bother with that idiot. I put him on the ignore list a long time ago and haven't looked back since. It's a shame I'm still forced to read some of his drivel when someone quotes him.

Oh look at you collating posts and not providing context.

Look at the last 5 words in that wall of posts - but he still needs time. Even when you're trying to paint me as a hypocrite, you still leave in posts that show I was urging patience, despite being a little frustrated at times. He still had my support.

Come on babe, you're not even trying anymore. A stalker not putting in the effort is just some snaggle-toothed weirdo. :philjones

Aah, is someone still upset because I called him a proven liar.

I don't think I'm entitled to anything. I don't think just because we're Chelsea we should win everything (or anything). I don't think I should be treated to a finished article without having to wait for it to be put together.

That's you and your ilk.

Looks like the whole fan club is out today.
