The Mourinho Thread

this is to all those who argue that there are better managers out there or that Mourinho coming back to the club is a bad idea - tell me one manager who will have control at the club like Mou will? no-on else

Yes, it is sentimental and yes that has driven Chelsea fans to ignore some of the problems that he has encountered at Madrid but that is because he is a proven World Class coach. He has been there and instilled team spirit at Porto, CFC and Inter before the Madrid job. that's why he should be on top of the interview list for Manager job not sentiments

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the locker room was divided because of his departure???

Also, Real Madrid lacks team unity, which is why they are so under performing with their roster.

Anyways, back to your first question, I wanted Pep. Than Landrup.

However, Pep is going to Bayern and Landrup will probably stay at Swansea, so I can't really answer that question.

Yet Chelsea should of won the UCl with Grant and Hiddink and they manage to win with RDM..... Says a lot when you don't have to worry about finances.

I don't expect you to understand since you've only started to support the club in recent years.

What I seriously can't understand though is how you don't rate Mourinho because of one season of drama at Real - you are choosing to ignore that it's always drama there, regardless of who's manager. How you're discounting a manager who's done an outstanding job at his three previous clubs is quite laughable IMO.

Is there any better option than Mourinho out there atm? No. Mourinho's head and shoulders above any other candidate. It's hard not to get excited when arguably the best manager in the world who's adored by all CFC fans is linked to come home...

You may need a brain.

Financed by Abramovich yes, but money cant assure success, look at City, they spend that much for nothing, Mourinho build the winning mentality, made us win titles, and that is priceless.

City won the BPL title and the league cup with Mancini. Money plays a large role in success. You may need to go check yourself out to understand that...

O, I agree. I don't really know any better options that are realistically available (cept Hiddink).

Also, Mou underachieved at Real. He won the league versus a depleted Barca team (granted Barcelona is probably one of the best teams ever to be assembled).

In the first 4 years of City's funding, they won one FA cup and one PL title , that too with a help of shitty QPR defense. Lets not talk about CL

We, in our first 4 years of funding and Jose's management, 2 PL title(breaking records on the way), FA cup and 3 CL semis(Not too sure whether it was 3 or 2). Money plays a role in success, but large role? You are kidding yourself!!

But surely City should've won more given their pool of talent? 5 years since they've took over, and they've only managed to win 2 major trophies. Compare that to 5 in just 3 under Mourinho. Doesn't that speak volumes to you?

Awwww its ridiculous, really.Give Mourinho same time Mancini had with the same amount spent, he'll bring you two Premier Leagues, two FA Cups & one League Cup.

Disclaimer: I'm not saying Mancini is a good manager (I don't rate him at all). So, you guys are all right that man city should of won more titles with their crop of players....

However, if you think money doesn't play a huge role in Chelsea success. You are kidding yourself..

No one is saying it didn't, stop trying to change the subject. We are talking about why you think people shouldn't get excited about Mourinho returning, not about how money plays a large role in our success (something you brought up by the way).

Dont fool yourself, you know that we know that money played his role, but dont underestimate José's work at the club, Madrid spend a lot of money, but why only Mourinho won and not Pellegrini ? Thats right.

I seriously hate Manchester Shitty but you do know they really had a hard time to convince players to sign up for them, even with the large amount of stacks they were offering.

I never heard that in this debate. It plays a role but there is more. Why do you persist in this? We need a manager that can steer and motivate like the best....
