The Mourinho Thread

Thank you, getlemen, for proving that fanatism can't lead to anything else but idiotic non-sense conclusions. One talks about manureism because I don't share the same opinion with one who wants us to WORSHIP Mourinho and agree like loyal little dogs with everything he says and does (and brings my country into discussion as it has any importance at all, not to mention that he thinks that going to Stamford Bridge makes your opinion more relevant or something) and one gives me a speech about me being the manager, just like a kindergarten kid would to. That's very smart and mature from you, I am really impressed. And all because we don't share the same opinions regarding football and the way Chelsea plays it at the moment.

No wonder other people call us the way they do. I am completely disgusted.

i never mentioned your country i asked you a simple question that requires an answer you can't look up on wikipedia. who would you have manage us to play expansive, open counterattacking or all out attack football your so keen on as your banging on about it all day yesterday and today? who?

Which 'other people'? You mean your fellow Manure-fans? Or do you mean the Romanian people?

The Chelsea fans yesterday have shown to the football world how much respect they deserve. There will always be fans of opposing teams calling 'us' slurs and curses but that's something every fan scene has to deal with. Therefore, I don't get what you mean. Don't even dare to talk about yourself being part of 'us' when you have a hard time appreciating the positive things the manager with the biggest impact on our club ever has. Don't even dare to use the term 'us' when you are always trying to isolate yourself and make us look like dumb and blind Mou-fanatics. You're talking like our fans are shit since it's 'No wonder other people call us the way they do'. So it's the fault of the Chelsea fans that we are called glory-hunters or Chavs or whatsoever? I surely don't have to be put in place by a 21 years old child from East Europe.

First off you're taking it out of context, there is no need to mention Chelsea's win, its clear we got lucky and it was ours to win from Napoli.... Real Madrid were playing their beautiful attacking football and were so close to losing it. The point is football is changing and Atletico, who won La Liga against all odds, play a style similar to ours and were in the CL finals, nearly winning it! and won La Liga against two of the best clubs sides in the world.

Why do you even follow Chelsea? This has been our hallmark for ages now.

They were close to losing it and so were we. Exactly what I said: an argument that goes both ways. Atletico won La Liga against all odds playing similar to us. Borussia won Bundesliga against almost all odds two years ago, playing spectacular football and were in the CL finals, one year later, nearly winning it. Another argument that can go both ways. So there you have it: there's no recipe for success. You can win it playing "like us" or playing the other way. Except that there are a lot more teams that won it by going "the other way". And that's a fact.

So you think that choosing which club to follow is a rational thing to do? Like "hey, let's pick a club. let's see: these guys play like this, these guys win things, these guys are from this town and so on"? Mate, I follow Chelsea because that's what I felt like when I was younger. It didn't involve any maths. And just because this has been our hallmark for ages, doesn't mean that we all have to agree that it is the only way or that we can't do better.

@cosmin Before I carry on Ill add that comment made about your country was wrong and should never be said on this forum.

Now regarding Mourinho, he has a connection to the fans and a club now we dont have to agree with everything he says or does, what baffles me is some posts (not yours) clearly demonstrate a lack of respect for the best manager in the clubs history, that's what I don't like, criticism is fine, deep ran agendas not so much.

cosmin as you clearly don't like mour and his type of football who do you think should manage the club and play the expansive counter attacking football you bang on about?

Sorry, I misunderstood this post. I never said that there should be anyone else managing us. I just said that I am expecting something else from us and that Mourinho promised that things will change. I never asked him to be sacked or anything, I just said that. Maybe things will change in the next games, who knows? But I think I have the right to express my dissapointment on this forum, just like you have the right to disagree with me. And you were not the one saying anything about my country, I wasn't talking about you there.

Agreed, but from respecting the man and loving him to asking all of us to "worship" him there's a long way.

Yes, it's the fault of people like you who bring other people's age or country into discussion in order to what? It's the fault of people who don't allow other people to express their opinion and thoughts, just because they are about the man who they "worship". With that last sentence, I think that you put yourself in place and anyone with a little education and common sense realizes it.

my disagreement with you is that I can't remember you ever praising anything about our club .

Everything is about how other clubs are better , Perhaps I am wrong but that is the impression

I have gathered . Incidentally I do NOT like Jose . I can easily think of six Chelsea managers I

liked better , But it is hard to be sure we have had a better one.

You still don't get it do you? Real didn't win it playing their brand of football, they were a beaten team but for that one corner at the very end of the game. Chelsea won playing their brand of football which was to soak up the pressure and trying to look for opportunities to counter attack... believe me there is a difference, had we tried to play a cavalier offensive game against Bayern we surely would've lost. He was defending their brand of soccer was why they won. Anyway I digress...

Unless you live in the Borough of Chelsea, which I highly doubt you do, most people choose a club that speaks to them and meets their philosophy for how they think the game should be played. You say you chose them because you felt like it as a kid? LOL I guess there's no one way to choose a club to say you'll back till the end of time but I would imagine the footballing philosophy has to play some part... What is it you enjoy about the club then? you just blindly follow it because you have done so for however long? the ethics, philosophy, spirit, policies and tradition have nothing to do with it? you just like them because you like them?

You are wrong and you have gathered the wrong impression. I praised our board, for example, just after getting rid of Torres and signing Remy. That's if you really want a certain example. I praised Brana recently, after his great attacking displays, I praised Azpi, I praised JT etc. And even if I wouldn't have done that, you are still wrong to ignore all of my arguments and tell me that I'm not a Chelsea fan. If you disagree with me, I think it would be fair to tell me why I'm wrong and explain your point of view, instead of making false assumptions. I've been on this forum since 2010 (I was 17 back then). Do you really think that a 17 years old would join a forum like this and keep pretending to be a fan for 4 years?

Real didn't win it, but they somehow got the trophy. Ok, I get it. Let's move on.

I started to follow Chelsea in 2003, when Mutu joined the club and the Romanian media started to be really hyped about Chelsea. I was watching every Chelsea game covered by the television. I still remember that Gronjkaer goal against Monaco, I still remember the blondes (Gudjhonsen and Duff), the tank that was Makelele and so on. Yes, there was this spirit, there was that atmosphere at the Bridge that made me like them. But I was way too young to understand tactics and philosophies. And I completely disagree with the statement that Chelsea always played like this. Remember the second part of the 2008-2009 season, when Hiddink was our manager.

cosmin what you have to learn is one thing, and one only. WIN OR LOSE UP THE BLUES, that's an old school chelsea saying!

If I was to give up on Chelsea or anything, I could've done it way earlier. I feel ofended that you jumped to the conclusion that I am not supporting the team "win or lose" only from the fact that I criticized the way that we played against City.

If this is the situation, I would certainly want Jurgen Klopp to be our next manager. Or Guss Hiddink. And no, I would never want Guardiola here.
