I disagree with him on the first Everton goal. Yes, you can look around and find someone to blame. But that was a well crafted goal, with a great cross and a fantastic header.

I have to rewatch the match and analyze it properly. I was all nerves yesterday in the second... then I'll comment properly, not only in the goals, but in the midfield and the defense. I don't think the mistakes were made by the defenders, but maybe I'm wrong. I'll wait @Dion, so we watch it together, hopefully tomorrow, if he feels like he can wait as much

No that's wrong he also had a good defense over there.

Ramos was a beast and much better then anything we got.

This is where I'm expecting Mourinho eventually shifts Ivan to the cb and puts azpi and Felipe on each side. Will not happen right away but by December we might start seeing this. Because this defense is not that good and something needs to be fix.

I admit their defenders are individually faster than ours, but that Madrid defence conceded 2 goals per match, that's also bad team defending no matter how you look at it.

No it's not. ANY top manager in the world would take a 3-0 over a 6-3 result. With 6-3, Mourinho will have issues to worry about and work on to improve. With a 3-0, there would be nothing to address.

Football is not math. Football is football. By conceding 3 goals, it means the team showed vulnerability in defense. Mistakes were made. Maybe to a mathematician such as yourself, this is irrelevant but to someone who knows about football, this is something to worry about.

I feel that the strikers Mourinho has signed since coming here, have all been personality signings. Eto'o, Diego and Drogba ooze of strong personality (too early to say anything about Remy). With those three signings, Jose reinstated some much needed balls back to our striking force. Eto'o was literally a stop-gap till we were waiting for the real deal, but even he brought some much needed courage and quality back to our attack until we waited. Losing this mental edge in games was one of my biggest worries pre-Jose. He knows what he's doing.

It's useless. All you see is goals goals goals, numbers numbers numbers. What the rest of us see is mistakes, discipline, defensive strength and intelligence.
