What if Jose messed this season up on purpose, as a gift to us? He saw how talented our youngsters were and felt that now more than ever they deserve to play. That won't happen in the CL though.

The fact is Mourinho is yesterdays man. His antiquated tactics, his refusal to change and his all round persona will lead to him being a disaster at Man United. It won't be the Man United fans who will first turn against him it will be the English media as they fucking love Man United. When we played them in the Champions League final in 2008 there was almost a campaign for them to win we were nothing but an afterthought. If he gets the job I guarantee the first thing the B.B.C will do will put out a documentary called '' The Special One's Destiny'' or some bollocks like that. ITV had a documentary about Ryan Giggs taking over from Moyes for six games for fucks sake despite at the time his private life being all over the tabloids.

The difference is he will get full board support. Knowing that Woodward has such a big ego he will buy Jose all players he wants and this is how they will get stability. Also, if we don't get the right manager, we will be miles away from City and Utd in the next years.

Meh just like how Mourinho was supposed to dominate for years to come with Chelsea. Boring! 

If but now you have not learned then you will never learn. The pl is changing rapidly that even the elite clubs are having a tough time. 

I wouldn't be surprised that if next season everyone is all about pep and Mourinho that some other team does good. Like it has been this season with Leicester and Spurs.

I'm not "moaning", I'm just giving I suggestion, but it seems you are hyper sensitive to suggestions, because it seems every time there is suggestion you feel people are just saying you are not doing your job right, or as another staff member said weeks ago, you don't need the mod telling you what you are supposed to do, and about that post, at this point most members here already saw that one, so I'm giving a suggestion for the future, so there was zero "irony" in my post. My suggestion remains.

Your suggestion is fine but in your post, you clearly indicated how that post should be deleted because it's offensive, which in other words, it shouldn't continued to be seen by others. But you went ahead and quoted that post TWICE - when it's now few pages back and gone - thereby bringing it to the fore again.

I don't think he would want all this to be his last action for Chelsea, after all how you leave a club affects how strong you're legacy is, he would have been a legend regardless but if Didier left via the back door in 2011 instead of the party bus in 2012 and 2015 would he be on the immortal level he is?

Which brings me back to José, I can easily see him wanting to put this right, depending on what our squad is like and what his situation is, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he returns for two years before he retires/goes to international footy.

Nah I don't see it at all to be honest. Drogba was a different case because he's a player and he continued to perform at the highest level.. But there's more to Drogba than Chelsea player, you saw how just a few days ago Eden spoke about how much of a mentor Drogba acted to him and reports earlier in the season indicated Drogba's departure was a massive deal in the dressing room. Didi continues to leave with the love and admirations of fans and players alike.

You can't really say the same with Mourinho. Oscar, Costa, Fabregas and even Hazard are now performing at a level higher than what Mourinho got out of them. Clearly he didn't leave with the same love and respect Drogba left with.

That being said, I'll give it to you that he left in a much better manner than he did last time. No big argument or circus drama (yet), so I don't think his relationship with Roman is severed but I'm sure the club's now moved on from Mourinho's ghosts. We haven't replicated such a dominant side for a prolonged period of time since 2004-09 and that trend only seems to be in continuation.

I mean in the eyes of the fans not the players, of course if Mou is to ever return, most of this squad will have to have been gone.

Mourinho is a proud man and I think he left on good terms with the owner all things considered, so there will be no bad blood their, the reason I think he might be up for a 3rd spell in years to come is after all the history he has made for Chelsea I just can't for the life of me seeing him wanting to end it for good on those last four months, if the timing was right and he had a chance to return for 2 years later down the line, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he returned to right this wrong.

Obviously there are other factors to consider, if we were in a stable position under a manager who's football is opposite to Joses then it will be a non starter, but if we wind up in 2022 with our team in a similar outlook (in terms of playing personnel) to Inter 2008 and we were on the lookout for a new manager, then I can easily see the temptation to "marry again" would be there., for both parties.

I've never envisioned remembering Jose Mourinho as the attacking-minded one.... 

However, given the way we've been playing, the starting lineups, and the results, reckon it's a valid case to be made.
