johnnythefirst 1,076
Is Jose technically part of the squad? Because I bet he'll be the first to go if he keeps crapping out games like this. It's not even the results. it's just not entertaining at all. It's supposed to be fun watching a football match right? That's why people pay money for it? Popular Post! lionsden 4,689 Posted August 30, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted August 30, 2015 Mourinho will lose the dressing room quickly if he doesn't get it together and fast.Everything is wrong at the moment. from team selections to tactics to defensive organization and discipline to offensive play (which is piss poor atm but not nearly as abysmal as our defending. a pub team could score hatrick against us at this point in time) Forget playing like a top team, we look poorer than most midtable teams at the momentOut of all the problems we are currently experiencing, the defending frailties is the most surprising considering that was Jose's trademark and it's also the biggest factor in our terrible start to the season result wise. I don't think some people realise just how bad we have been defensively. just to spell it out, we have conceded 9 goals in 4 games making us the second worst defence in the league after sunderland and to make matters worst we are giving up 5 clear goal scoring opportunites a game, that's not championship or even top four material. The most annoying thing is the one player that is most responsible for it (ivanovic) hasn't lost his place.Which brings me to the midfield, I have never seen a chelsea team look so open, weak and vulnerable in midfield as we have been. The spaces opponents are given is large enough to fill a grand canyon, Fabregas is constantly out of position and too weak defensively, matic is left to cover for his ass and do the job of two individuals despite his average mobility. Something has to be done about it, even if it means dropping Fabregas altogether. Our attack or attempt at it looks so stale and predictable, it's a joke at the moment. Horrible passing, lack of combination plays, slow tempo, over-reliance on crossing (which often fails to even beat the first defender most of the time), Costa is too busy protesting every little contact and non decision than actually playing football, Falcao, despite his goal, lacks any presence. where is remy?, hazard has been off form, Willian still lacks end product and so on.But the biggest worry of all is the fact that this current mess is not unprecedented, we have had it coming as we have been shocking since January but now the results are starting to reflect the performances. basically we have regressed badly and have shown absolutely no improvement whatsoever. Managers get sacked for precisely that at every top club all the time. If we continue along this path, i wouldn't be surprised if roman shakes things up at the end of the season or even before the season is over. Gappy 130
Jose has too many things to fix, so he choose not to fix it all and just give a trust to the same squad over and over. Now he should realized it doesn't work, he need to step forward make a change in the squad like a boss and care shit about the senior that can't perform.Like he did to casillas. And when this happen I surely will back him up for picking the real best 11 players rather than picking 11 players that he trust most. lionsden 4,689
The 3rd season syndrome isn't a myth afterall. From now on teams that hire him will be smart to only offer three year contract, if he proves himself beyond the second season and does well in the third season that's when he gets a renewal. Popular Post! Blue Colored Sky 1,807 Posted August 30, 2015 Popular Post! Share Posted August 30, 2015 To make things worse, in the last 20 league games Chelsea won by more than 1 goal margin only twice !Yet some people still couldn't believe that there's a problem. We were MOANING apparently and too attached to made up concerns. There's one thing, this one week to prepare really is one big myth, right ? We had great weeks apparently, when work couldn't be better yet I can't see anything new on the pitch. Were the offensive patterns even trained ? I don't think so. Nothing new at all. Are we sure players don't receive whole week off after matches ? Because that surely were the most wasteful weeks in training recently. Zero innovation even in set-pieces which is minimum you can expect. And what about playing with 3 CBs and 2 strikers from the start ? Apparently that was an option but can't say that I saw more organization in these 25 minutes than from randomly throwing two players upfront. Most on here were pleading Jose to bring some attacking coach to learn a few new patterns of play. Jose is the best when he prepares players to commit to the cause but creativity and patterns of play are out of his reach. We can see it clearly now.And last thing is this so-called pressing. That is the most disappointing thing. I don't know why we even bother. As disorganizing as it is, it also further disrupts team shape. Everyone should stay in the low block if you don't do things properly. Because when half team do individual pressing and other stay lower then it's counter productive. zolayes, Toli, laura90 and 4 others

Special Juan 28,865
Seems like he has realised there has been under-performing players but it's three games late for me. After this start there isn't much to lose now, we are written off by media for any trophy and it's time for a big shake up. Play Baba, switch Azpilicueta to RB, play RLC a lot more and for fucks sake drop Costa. The other week when we played City there were two strikers on the filed, one who wanted to score and the other one, to cause a fight. We need to stop masking over his performances by using lines such as 'He works hard' We have words now from Jose, we need actions and quickly. robsblubot 3,595
Don't have any problem with the realization we've got underperforming players, but the not acting on the right ones...Terry was fine before getting subbed and we did not improve after that. Now he subbed Matic and aspire... And that did not work. We have a lot of underperforming players but Jose is making things harder with his messages aka weird subs.
BlueLion. 21,491
Change the system and change the personnel and we'll be laughing. We're predictable because people are used to the way we play. Shut down the wingers, pack the midfield, and then hit us with pace on the flanks. We need to address that, of course. Defensively it is harder to shift, but from an attacking point of view, the shape has to change. Whether it is to 4-3-3, to an orthodox 4-4-2, 4-4-1-1, 4-3-2-1, or a 4-4-2 with a Diamond midfield, I don't know. But we're predictable and that makes us beatable. MetsajCFC 1,255
It's rather unfair to blame only Mourinho, let alone call for a sack after three-four games. He's staying and it's simple as that, bst thing for the club aswell. I find it extremely irritating when people start the sentence with demaning for stability and end it with calling for a sack. Don't take this too seriously, we're on a bad form patch but it will pass, like always, and so will the "sack-brigade" on this board. Relax. DYC. 7,542
The quality of the performances haven't changed in 2015. The only difference is the score at the end of games. We tried to blame the second half of 14/15 on fatigue but it's obvious Chelsea have been found out. You can't keep grinding out wins 'like champions' forever so this was bound to happen without any changes made. This third season phenomenon is truly astonishing. Is it a case Mourinho losing the dressing room after a few years? Or do the other teams figure out his approach, with Mourinho unable to adapt? But it's very early so it's probably a bit too soon to start drawing conclusions. But the signs are very worrying for 15/16. lionsden, Blue-in-me-Veins, borriske and 1 other
It's too big 625
Our main problem when we were after Pep was that Roman was sacking managers left and right. I expect Pep to sign a new contract with Bayern, but if he doesn't then i wouldn't be opposed to bringing him in or Ancelotti back. I think with Pep, he would develop our young players well and bring through the youth without a second thought, as well as getting us playing positive football and utilising the players to the best of their abilities. CHOULO19 24,332
Btw, don't get your hopes up about the player that Jose was mistaken not to have taken off. In a different interview he said that this player made the individual mistake that led to the second goal. It's not Ivanovic, he obviously means Hazard.
