The Mourinho Thread

I think he said that before lamps joined city...

Are you really questioning Lampard's status as a club legend? Really? He will be welcomed back with open arms and rightfully so! The supporters were singing him off the pitch after he scored against us! doesn't that tell you something?

Mourinho loves Lamps he just won't speak on him while he's playing for our rival for the title... After that stint is over its back to the love fest.

What's the point? did you hear the question he was responding to? Jose is being Jose, he has no ill-will towards Frank its all in the spirit of competition.

You really think there are no bitter feelings towards Lampard? Jose is a very emotional person and if Frank helps City to the title, I doubt his relationship with the club or Mourinho will ever be the same.

You guys are nuts... Jose Loves Frank. I think you guys are getting far too caught up in the spirit of competition. You really think Jose is pissed 35yr old Frank, who decided to go sit on the City bench, isn't at the bridge this term? Had we kept Frank who comes out of the team? Ake? I think both parties made the right choice regardless of the outcome.

When its said and done Jose and Frank will embrace and speak about the titles they won together, no move Frank makes in the twilight of his career is going to be frowned upon with all the success and friendship they shared.

There's a difference between being pissed that he left Chelsea (nobody is) and being pissed that he joined City (plenty of people). You do realise he's helping them mount a serious title challenge (including by taking points off us)? I don't think it will matter too much in the end if we win the league but if City do then it will be partly down to Lampard. And what Chelsea fan/employee would be happy with that? Not Jose, that's for sure.

You're being silly, watch the interview. Jose is a competitor, he has no ill-will towards Lamps, its about winning and losing. There isn't one incident that decides the fate of a season, its many instances... you guys keep forgetting that a point at City is a very good result and not one that is to be considered dropped points(even with the late equalizer down a man)

Lamps is without question an iconic figure for Chelsea FC and nothing is going to taint what he did for the club from 2001 to 2014, not even the title going back to a very good City. He has a legacy few can touch at the club, he's a record goalscorer for fuck sakes! Nothing will change the history he's written as a legend at the club, precisely why he was sung off the pitch by the most diehard of Chelsea supporters, the travelling away fans.

Oh I didn't think Chelstransfer just rehashed old quotes but you're right, fair enough. How exactly does showing the original source help your point though?

The eyes don't lie, does Jose look like he's dismissing Lamps as just some other player who he's mad at? or does it look like he's reluctant to speak glowingly about a rival player?

You're 1-0 up to 10 men and concede. If that's not dropping points then I don't know what is. And it's simply your opinion that his reputation hasn't been tainted. For many fans it has - we'll see if the Chelsea supporters are singing Lampard's name if he scores the winner at the Bridge and what Jose's 'eyes' are like then.
