Porto v Chelsea

@choulou I would rather have JT at RB than Iva

I understand the sentiment. I want Iva out of the team as well. I've been saying that for THREE full years now. But I also understand that practically we can't do that at the moment in any important match. As much as I love JT who is my all-time favorite Chelsea player, he would be A LOT worse than Iva at RB as he'd be beaten for pace every single time.

and yet the biggest culprits stay in the team.

why dont u stop being a jose fan boy and look at things objectively.

"the biggest culprits" you mean Ivanovic - I agree. But Baba doesn't seem ready, he looked dodgy defensively against Tel Aviv and Porto are 5x the team they are.

Oh because you're being so objective, if being intensely miserable for months on end is being objective then I'll fuck that idea off thanks very much.

Last year it was Luís who couldn't defend, this year Baba isn't ready.... All I know is that after spending nearly 40M euros (!!!) on left-backs who apparently aren't good enough, our right side keeps getting penetrated harder than a pornstar.

I completely agree. And I was against both deals from the start. Our board and Jose have royally fucked up in addressing this issue in the transfer market and hold complete responsibility for the disastrous situation, but right now the window is closed and we only have the players on our rooster.

sorry, but our recent results should be proof of how wrong our manager has been.

It's the same selections that won us the league comfortable last season. The issue is clearly well beyond that and cannot be laid entirely on Jose and certainly not simplified to team selections of the RB position.

He is but that's not enough. He needs to have the physical and technical attributes to play the position and he simply does not. Cech was a leader but I wouldn't play him as a striker...

Skip forward, if Ivan is benched and Hazard plays this weekend because of today's decisions I'm thinking most will be pleased.

.

You do realize that's not going to happen right ? If it does yes maybe depending on the result I just hope these things don't add up to hazard considering other options outside of Chelsea

so then why drop matic and hazard? hazard was our main man in the team that won the league comfortably, right?

there is something called "form". you are not making any sense dude

yes, we conceded 1 goal in 180 minutes and apparently he looked dodgy.

so since he looked dodgy, we should continue going with the shitier option, right?

cool. then u can keep being ignorant as fuck. best of luck with that.

Ivanovic better perform like never before to shut these crying moaners up or make such an awful mistake that would cost him his spot.

in short, he is one mistake away from being dropped and yet people asking for him to be benched already are "moaners". LOLOLO.. some people...

Like I already said, not because they have been better than Iva (or Cesc or Costa) but simply because we have reliable experienced replacements for them in the team while we lack that depth for Iva's position/role.
