i dont play Fifa, and i am sure he isnt very good otherwise he would have played more minutes for us, but you based your opinion on apparently watching him in France, and its obvious you havent watched him regularly enough to say he hasnt impressed you in France and that he is average, so how did you watch him before the 2013/14 season when he was playing in Ligue 2? did you stream Nantes games when they were in the 2nd division?

This is going nowhere. And you're undermining whatever point you're trying to make...

Your argument is basically this: that I (apparently) haven't seen enough of him to make an informed opinion, as I haven't watched him in "every game".

However, because apparently I didn't watch him regularly enough to have an informed opinion; therefore, if I can't have an opinion on him, then neither can you.

Then again, clearly you are able to tell me all of the Ligue I, Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France games I've watched Papy play in over the last couple of years.

you clearly havent seen enough of him to make an informed opinion, i dont have a opinion on him as i have only seen him play once, i can just make an assumption that he probably isnt good enough otherwise he would have probably played more by now, you act like you watch him play all the time. when Nantes are barely shown on tv, and even when i watched them play i barely noticed him, so unless you focused on him in the few times you watched Nantes then i doubt you will have seen enough to make an informed opinion.

As I said in my previous post, there seems to be no reasoning with you. There is absolutely no logical thinking behind your post.

How can you say I "clearly" haven't seen enough of him? What is your proof? There is no rational thinking behind your post. I have seen enough of him to know he won't make the grade. He was a last-minute panic signing as he was cheap and readily available. If he was anything better than average he'd be playing ahead of John Terry, who has been nothing short of a disaster this season.

Again, "unless you focused on him" - so now you're saying unless you focus on a player you can't make an informed judgement on a player's performance? Does that mean we should watch Chelsea matches fourteen times before posting player ratings following a match?

my proof is that its obvious! Nantes are rarely live on TV, but you probably stream all their games right?

and yes if you have only watched a player play a few times you would have to focus on that player in games to really make an informed opinion of how good they are

That isn't proof, that is an assumption made on conjecture.

yes it is proof, how can you watch Nantes regularly when they are only on TV maybe once or twice a season?

1. Streams

2. You don't know if BlueLion has a friend that is from Nantes. You don't know that they don't regularly watch games together.

3. You don't know that BlueLion doesn't spend a lot of time in France or another place where they are televised.

4. You don't know that BlueLion doesn't have a subscription to a Ligue 1 chanel deal that he watches through a VPN.

5. BlueLion may not watch Nantes in particular, he may watch games like Marseille, Lyon and PSG when they play Nantes.

You assume that BlueLion can only watch Nantes on TV. You assume he has no other means of watching Nantes. You quite simply don't know how or why BlueLion watches Nantes, you only assume. Just because an idea hasn't been mentioned doesn't mean it is automatically false. You have no proof, only assumptions that you've made based on incomplete information.

Djiilobodju also plays for Senegal and has done so in the AFCON. If I know BlueLion he was also watched this man perform for his country, but I don't know that, it is only an assumption like what you have done.

Let's say I have a box, it was given to me by a man. The man states 'Boxes can be opened by keys'. Now, he hasn't stated that this box is opened by a key, only that boxes can be opened by keys. Now, why would I immediately try to open the box with a key? I don't know that the box is opened by a key, all I know is that this is a box and I've been told boxes can be opened by keys. To immediately attempt to open the box with a key would be an assumption based on incomplete information given to me by another entity. This is what you are doing.

i have already mentioned streams and the fact he hasnt even come and said any of the others things you said is more then enough proof for me that he hasnt watched many Nantes games

and if you read what has already been said then you would know that he said he based his opinion from watching him in Ligue 1 he hasnt even mentioned the AFCON, so none of your reasoning really adds anything to this

and its ironic that you are the one who is now assuming how i have come to my conclusions and are getting things completely wrong.

and i would say if any of what you said applied to him then he would have said it by now, rather then using the fact that he has barely played for us as the basis of his argument

Jesus Christ, he isn't even online. That wasn't the basis of his argument, the basis was that he has seen a lot of games (which for some reason you don't believe him). That 'he doesn't play for Chelsea' was only a facet of his argument; literally a half sentence.

no he said it again after actually.

fact is if he watched Nantes regularly he would have explained himself by now, that is more then enough for me to know he hasnt

If you honestly believe that than I am shocked.

you act like him not being able to explain himself after being called out on not watching Nantes regularly doesnt mean anything, clearly it does, if you get called out on not watching a team play regularly, then your first reply would be to explain how and why you watch the team regularly not go and say things like so you cant judge a player unless you watch them week in week out, that first reply told me he hasnt seen many Nantes games, but you can believe what you want.

You're now saying I don't watch Nantes games because I haven't typed the words "I have watched Nantes live". I have never said on this forum that I like jelly. In fact, I fucking love jelly. However, going by your reasoning, because I've only had jelly once or twice this year, I'm not allowed to have an opinion on it.

Frankly, I couldn't give a shit whether:

a; you agree with my assessment,

b; you accept that I watch French football quite frequently,

c; you think I'm entitled to an opinion.

The fact is I know how much French football I have watched. I know how many times I've seen Nantes games (usually against the big boys, especially since I have had Setanta, ESPN, Eurosports and BT Sports, which enables me to watch plenty of French football, which I prefer to German or Italian or Spanish football). You do not know how many times I have seen the player play, which I would hazard is comfortably more times than you have.

Whether you like it or not, I have watched sufficient volumes of French football to have an opinion on the matter. I do not need to have watched a thousand matches to have an opinion on anything.

But please, continue to dig a bloody big hole by arguing the toss. There is no logical reasoning in your post and I think you understand that, hence the overly aggressive stance.

I really can't wait for you to comment on some obscure footballer in the Transfer Talk forum because I'll do exactly the same to you, and then you're realise how utterly moronic you are being.

EDIT: Anyway, if you want to continue this, PM me, rather than doing so here.

You can do the same to me, but unlike you i am sure i will be able to say straight away how and when i have seen the player play, you were not able to do that instead you focused on trying to say that i was saying you have to watch someone play week in week out to have an opinion on them! when you were the one who said he has never impressed you in France, for you to say that you would have to have seen him play very often, but in actual fact most of his time in France was spent in the lower leagues
