Rahman signs for Chelsea

Chelsea have today (Sunday) agreed a deal to sign defender Abdul Baba Rahman from Bundesliga outfit FC Augsburg.

The Blues had been linked with the left-back since Brazil international Filipe Luis was allowed to return to Atletico Madrid earlier this summer.

The 21-year-old Ghanaian international was a member of his country’s Africa Cup of Nations squad which finished runners-up to Ivory Coast in
Rahman said: 'I am very happy to sign for Chelsea, one of the biggest clubs in the world.
'I can't wait to train with my new team-mates and very much looking forward to working with them and Mr Mourinho', he continued.
'I am also looking forward to having the opportunity to meet the fans as soon as possible'.
The Ghanaian's arrival will mean increased competition for regular full-backs Cesar Azpilicueta and Branislav Ivanovic.
