Baba Rahman

Azpilicueta is one of four players he has at his disposal to replace the injured Branislav Ivanovic at right-back, which could mean an opening on the other side of the defence for Baba Rahman.

The Ghanaian has made two appearances for the Blues since joining from Augsburg in August, though he is yet to make his Premier League bow. As Mourinho considers whether that could change when we take on Aston Villa today, he draws comparisons with a former player of his who also moved to Stamford Bridge having spent his whole career abroad.

I go back to one of the best defenders the Premier League has ever had, Ricardo Carvalho, begins the manager.

He was in big trouble for three, four, five months. He said he couldnt adapt to the change from the Portuguese League and the Champions League to the Premier League: the way attacking players were playing, the way he had to adapt and learn how to use his position and his body.

He was a super player but it was hard for him for three or four months. Its a problem of experience and being adapted to the Premier League. Its depends on the characteristics of the player.

Baba is really good with the ball, hes very fast, but hes learning how we play and how we defend. The fact he came to us in the last days of the market took from him the possibility to work in pre-season, but hes a good player for sure and we trust him.

Are you fucking kidding me he had a shit first half defending, but doesn't get skinned for it, if Ivanovic had had the performance of Baba today you would have said he was shit and asked for Mou's head again

I'd choose Baba because when JT has pace around him he still looks class.
