Shocking? we dont have anyone to replace Ivanovic and Oscar is injured, so whats so shockingly wrong in our line up?

This exactly.

And this is our biggest problem. We either have no depth in some positions or the quality of the depth is subpar.

Instead of having Ramires come in in these big games we should have someone far better.

Like who? I think Ramires would be starting in this game regardless of who we bring on. This game suits him. Toure and co were known for their defincies in tracking back. Ramires is the perfect player for that. I don't understand why people are annoyed with him in the team. If we use the counter wisely, he could have a big say in us getting a result today.

Maybe. Time will tell. Moses is not suddenly a world class player. He had a good pre-season and that does not mean much. I

he also had a very good last season with stoke whenever he was available. he also was one of stoke's best player against city when stoke beat them in etihad.

I agree with you mate but yet again, loan spells mean nothing when it comes to Chelsea. Lukaku was quality against Liverpool and majority of teams he faced in his spell at WBA and we still shipped him out on loan. Hopefully Cuadrado has hit the gym in the past weeks and Mourinho has seen something in him to include him on the bench.

He can't pass, can't score, gives away loads of fouls, and is normally terrible in his decision making when he has the ball.

Any of the midfielders we were linked with (Witsel, Aranguiz, etc) would've been huge signings for matches like this.

Please no.

Hope for the best but expect the worst.

If our best 11 was our, er, best 11 even against the good teams this would be a non-issue.

But our so-called best players can't hold their own weight against good teams so somebody like Ramires becomes essential at putting out fires. What top midfielder better than Ramires is going to settle for that role?

Like I mentioned in my post above, we could buy Witsel with ease if we wanted him.

Nope can't afford to, think we are saving up for stadium like Arsenal did. Didn't we apparently fail to agree personal term with him and that rarely happened with us before.

and what happens to moses now?

he is good in his loan spell and brilliant in the pre-season and now cant make the bench. in short, every chance he has gotten, he has shown himself to be quite good, and yet cant get on the bench. i am sorry, its just unfair and things like this would break a player's confidence and spirit.

the next time we see moses, we will see him being selfish, trying extra harder to show that he can make a difference and have more pressure on himself.

He can score. You should know he has scored some quality goals for us before. City, Barca, Leicester. He is perfect for this game. His running, stamina, acceleration will be pivotal if we stand a chance of beating them. I think he is crucial in helping track Kolarov and also exposing him on the counter. People are just slating him for his limitations without realising the qualities Mourinho has picked him for in this certain game. Obvious pick for me.

Hopefully he proves you wrong and you are made to eat your words after this game.

Exactly..the guy is keen on leaving Russia, would be happy to play in England and Abramovich has links with Gazprom and the Zenit owner...

Not adding to our midfield is a mistake, hope it doesn't cost us the title

That is going to be the story of his spell. Rotation. Sometimes left out the squad. Get the odd chance and has to consistently grab every opportunity he gets. It is harsh but it happens. Especially when you are playing for a top club like us.
