Mohamed Salah has joined Roma on a season-long loan Chelsea have announced. The winger who left Basel to join the Blues in January last year, became the first Egyptian to turn out for the Stamford Bridge outfit but has found regular football hard to come by. The Rome club have an option to buy the 23-year-old at any time during the loan agreement.

Last season he scored twice in 19 appearances for the blues but had more joy out on loan at Fiorentina in the second half of last season, scoring nine times in 26 games.
